About this mod
J’zargo is a more useful follower. He can learn spells from spell tomes, can be made essential through dialogue, and even light your way.

This mod doesn't alter J'zargo's appearance much, as I believe he already looks great. The changes I made are subtle: I've updated his eye textures and gave him a high-poly head for improved detail.
However, I’ve made some key gameplay changes. J'zargo's starting spells have been adjusted, and he now has the ability to learn new spells from spell tomes. Once J'zargo has learned a spell, you can toggle it on or off to control which spells he casts, including his starting spells.
Note: If he doesn’t have enough skill in a particular school (for example, 50 in Destruction), the dialogue option to give him an Adept-level Destruction spell tome won’t appear.
J'zargo can also light the way for you, and you can make him essential via a dialogue option.
Note: When asking J'zargo to stop lighting the way, the Candlelight effect may remain for up to 1 minute if recently recast.
J'zargo's level scaling has been changed to match the player, ranging from level 6 to unlimited, allowing him to grow with you throughout your journey.
New dialogue option will be available only when you ask him to follow you, which you can after the quest "J'zargo's Experiment".

J'zargo can learn a variety of spells based on your preferences and can be balanced however you see fit.

If you want to test the mod quickly, open the console and enter the following commands:
setstage MGRAppJzargo01 200
player.moveto JzargoRef
Then ask J'zargo to follow you.
Install using a mod manager of your choice or manually extract the content to your Data folder.
This mod conflicts with other mods that alter J'zargo. To ensure proper functionality, make sure this mod is loaded after any conflicting mods in your load order.
