Did I forget something?—right, my new mod!

So, you’ve heard of Shalidor, right? Legendary mage, brainiac, and all-around arcane rockstar of Tamriel? Turns out his real magic wasn’t fancy spells or shiny artifacts like the Glamoril. Nope, it was his eidetic memory. Guy could remember everything after just one look. Total flex.

Now, the Dragonborn has that kind of photographic memory too. Cool, right? But let’s be real—depending on your playthrough, that can get a little... off. I mean, do you even use half those spells in your arsenal? So, to keep things spicy (and immersive), I teamed up with some totally-not-fictional immersion scientists to bring you this mod.

Here’s the deal: if you don’t use a spell, you forget it. Yup, just like how you forgot where you left your house keys last week. Every time you cast a spell, it’s logged. If you don’t touch it for an in-game week, it risks vanishing from your repertoire. No dramatic warnings, no flashy effects—just poof. Forgot how to fireball, huh? Should’ve practiced.

The higher your level, the better your memory. But if you’re a lowbie? Expect spells to slip your mind faster than you can say “Fus Ro Dah.” The whole system runs on a sneaky little script tucked into a magic effect, so your game stays smooth as butter. Bonus points: it works with every spell in any mod (yes, even Apocalypse). Powers cast with the voice slot are safe, though. Nobody wants to forget a good shout or those sweet, sweet config spells.

Heads-Up: Your starting racial spells (like Flames or Healing) are exempt from the forgetful fun—they’re baked into your Dragonborn DNA. So no worries about accidentally losing your only way to patch yourself up mid-dungeon.
In summary: practice your spells, or forget ‘em like the scatterbrained Dovahkiin you are. Have fun, and may your magic be slightly less reliable than it used to be!
