Allows to use keyboard hotkeys and controller simultaneously.
- Permissions and credits
This simple mod allows you to play with a controller while still having access to the item hotkeys (numeral 1-8). This is a 'port' of NVShacker's mod here based on the Skyrim SE control map to ensure maximum compatibility. I didn't bother to waste time comparing all entries, so perhaps using the Skyrim OG control map might be just fine. But better safe than sorry.
I personally use it in conjunction with ElitePaddles to map extra hotkeys to the paddles of the Xbox One Elite Controller. Very comfortable and useful!
Installation:
Download the archive. Drop the folder in \Skyrim Special Edition\. Done.
Uninstallation:
Remove controlmap.txt from \Skyrim Special Edition\Data\interface\controls\pc\. Done.
Compatibility/Risks:
Obviously you will have to merge changes from other controlmap.txt mods manually. Apart from that one file, no other has been modified. There are no risks involved since you can always delete the file and Skyrim SE will fall back to the original in Skyrim - Interface.bsa.
