I followed the How to port (almost) and Oldrim mod to Skyrim SE (for dummies) guide. (Though all that had to be done was re-saving the 2 potential ESPs)
Here's the original description of the mod:
Basically, this mod is made by requests but I find it to be quite quaint, so I just upload it here for those who interested.
This mod causes Skyrim ghosts to be akin to those in Oblivion (or Morrowind) in that they are completely immune to ordinary weapons and all forms of bashing. The weapons listed below can damage but not bash them:
- All Dragonbone, Daedric and Silver weapons
- All Daedric artifacts and Auriel's Bow
- Ghostblade, Drainblood Axe, Drainheart Sword and Drainspell Bow
- Mystic Bound weapons (Mystic Binding perk)
- Keening, Harkon sword and Rueful Axe
Enchanted weapons will only do magical damage if not among those listed above.
Like Darksouls, two items are added to help kill ghosts: Ghost's Essence (chance to be dropped by ghosts) and Transient Curse (purchasable from Falion and Enthir). These two items put a curse on player for a certain amount of time which allows attacking and bashing ghosts with any weapons but there is drawback, so be careful.
Requirement:
* Dawnguard DLC
Uninstallation:
- Open console and type: player.removeperk x014a3a
- Uncheck the mod in your mod manager of choice.
COMPATIBILITY:
I'm not the author of the mod. However, a quick glance through xEdit shows that there's only a couple of potential conflicts:
It modifies the contents of 2 chests - a merchant chest in Morthal and a merchant chest in the College of Winterhold.
It modifies all of the ghost NPCs to give them a new perk (85002F9A).
Thus, you will need to make a bashed/smashed patch in order to have these changes get forwarded if you're using any other mod that modifies that two chests, or does anything to vanilla ghosts.
Other than that, should be 100% compatible with all mods.
NOTES:
I am not an experienced modder by any stretch of the imagination! I'm not aware of a lot of best practices, technical details and am not the original author of the mod. If you notice anything strange or off, let me know! I will do my best to correct these after learning more about them. Heck, if you just know a cleaner, better way to implement any of this, I'd love to know.
Feedback is always appreciated!
