Pickaxes are now especially effective against Gargoylesfor no reason, with the exception of Hoarfrost and the Notched Pickaxe. They work for Gargoyles exactly as Silver weapons do against undead and werewolves. Their base damage remains unchanged.

My friend is playing Skyrim for the first time. He looked at one statue and deemed it suspicious. After moving very slowly past it, the statue exploded in a cloud of debris and roared. "F-CK," he shouted, "YOU'RE MADE OF STONE, YOU'RE GOING DOWN!" So... yeah. He equipped the pickaxe.
