1. The Rock-Arch models have been slightly improved. The silhouette of the Rock-Arch v 0.9 in some angles seemed to me not very successful. I've made small changes and some optimizations. 2. The decor of the external area is significantly enriched. Two large oak trees and two spruce trees, many small plants, benches, misc etc. were added to the terrace. 3. Inside the city, some plants and misc have been added near the stairs leading to the gallery. 4. Added light vegetation option. The number of plants and misc is reduced by about half in the exterior. Switching between full and light mode is done through dialogue with the gardener. 5. New NPCs: a. 4 guards patrolling the gallery and the north terrace. b. 2 guards are in a secret passage. c. 3 clerks in the basement in the chancery. d. Gardener. Used to switch vegetation mode. e. 2 dogs. f. Priestess. g. A guard patrols the Dining Hall and adjacent corridors. 6. Vanilla NPCs. AI packages were edited only for those NPCs that have unique non-default AI packages. The new AI Packages were not used as it would cause compatibility issues. 7. Fixed a rather rare issue with the position of Elisif's throne (at least I hope so). According to user feedback, manipulation with Jaxonz Positioner fixes the issue. So I looked at how it works and used that script as a exsample. 8. In Elisif's bedchamber, the portrait of a lady was replaced by that of the late King Torygg. 9. Removed test cell, removed unused assets, made some optimization.
Description: The building was rebuilt and significantly expanded, new facade architecture was created with views of the world. To the top of the cliff behind the palace was added a terrace with a small garden and the sanctuary of Dibella. From there, you can enjoys superb views of Skyrim. The interiors have gained a lore-friendly decoration. Also features:
The front yard is a little redone and better suited to its purpose.
A new dome was made; roof detail was improved.
A large dining hall was added, the kitchen and the servants' premises were moved to another place;
The royal bedchamber and court rooms have become cozy and better convey the profession and character of their inhabitants;
Added new basement, where the chancery, guard rooms, storage are located;
Added a secret passageway leading from the basement to the riverbank. Only Thane of Solitude will be able to take advantage of the passage (using the key to the Proudspire Manor);
The lighting is made in the style of EnhancedLightsandFX by anamorfus (there is a patch).
High quality LOD provides a better view of the palace from afar.
Compatibility:
This mod is not compatible with any mod that significantly changes the interior of the Blue Palace and its area.
The new architecture and Rock-Arch models use Vanilla textures and are fully compatible with your favorite retexture.
Mod does not replace any Vanilla models, but adds its own new ones.
Compatible with mods that add NPCs that improve the appearance or behavior of NPCs, such as Interesting NPCs, Inconsequential NPCs, Immersive Citizens (load before BPT), Toccata Follower, etc.
The mod comes with compatibility patches for: CLARALUX SSE, Dawn of Skyrim, Dev Aveza, EnhancedLightsandFX, Imperial Mail, JK's Skyrim, Majestic Mountains, Open Cities, Skyrim Sewers, Solitude Flags on the Towers, AI Overhaul (thanks Kulharin).
Requirements: Skyrim Special Edition with all DLC.
Installation and load order: Install with your preferred mod manager or manually.
The BluePalaceTerrace.esp should be placed low in your load order, anyway below other plugins that edit the interior and exterior of the Blue Palace and nearby cells. Stick to the recommended load order so that the mod works correctly.
It is highly recommended to create LODs using DynDOLOD.
Performance and known Issues:
If you have performance issues while on the terrace, you can switch the vegetation to light mode. The number of plants and miscellaneous is reduced by about half in the exterior. Switching between full and light mode is done through dialogue with the gardener.
A rather rare problem with the position of Elisif's throne has been fixed (at least I hope so). However, during the player's first visit to the palace, Jarl Elisif can sometimes float into the air, in a seated pose, in the place where the throne was in vanilla. To eliminate this, it is enough to leave the interior and come back.
