About this mod

SSE port of Christian Paskota's Stormlord Armor and Hevno Dovah (merged). Textures have been AI upscaled up to 4x and edited. Mesh problems have been fixed, namely detached triangles and UV seams & warps. Plugin (ESL flag) has been rebuilt, without any accidental or wild edits, adding an elaborate new enchantment built from Summermyst assets.

This is basically an updated, improved, and merged version of the oldrim mods Stormlord Armor and Hevno Dovah.

Asset changes:
- Textures have been upscaled, with ESRGAN (IEU) for normal maps and Gigapixel AI for diffuse maps.

- Some textures have been edited by hand, particularly specular and reflection maps, to make the environment map (reflections) more intense and consistent between armor pieces. Also edited alpha masks to make the edges of the fur tufts sharper and less blocky.

- Problems in the meshes have been fixed in the least destructive way I know of, manually moving individual vertices to avoid wiping the original creator's hand-painted vertex normals. The original Stormlord cuirass had a "missing" triangle in the left pauldron, on the snout of the bear. Another modder tried to fix this in blender a few years back, but that apparently flattened all the detailed vertex normals. The triangle wasn't actually missing, it was just detached from the pauldron. It should have been an interior or "landlocked" triangle  but its vertices were duplicated and their coordinates were messed up. So I was able to fix it 'non-invasively' by just matching the vertex coordinates to the vertices the triangle was supposed to be drawn between.

- UV map problems in the warhammer have been fixed too. The original UV map had some vertices reversed about the texture's Y axis, causing a really compressed, blurry spot on the handle. Just fixed the UV map by hand in that case.

- Meshes have been modified for SSE, namely converting NiTriShapes to BSTriShapes and root NiNodes to BSFadeNodes.

Plugin changes:
- The plugin was basically rebuilt from the ground up, with the weapon being part of the "set"

- Armor and enchanted weapon are now solely owned by Galmar Stonefist. The armor was originally worn by Ulfric Stormcloak (causing problems during the intro for some users, and prompting a lot of requests from users for a version that doesn't orphan Ulfric's unique clothes) and the weapon was originally dropped by Hevnoraak.

- The weapon has a unique enchantment that I made based on some stuff from Summermyst, to fit the theme of the matching Stormlord set. The effect is very similar to Summermyst's Rolling Thunder (If the target dies within X seconds, X% chance to refresh your shout cooldown.) but it also covers the ground beneath the target with lightning that deals damage similar to Wall of Storms. Does not require Summermyst, everything is fully standalone.

- The armor is similar in stats to ebony or falmer heavy armor. The weapon is similar to an ebony warhammer, but does more stagger damage at the cost of being heavier. Because it's roughly equivalent to late-game equipment (especially if you use Morrowloot or something similar), it is effectively unique until you finish the Civil War.

- You can obtain the pre-enchanted hammer and the armor by killing Galmar Stonefist. You can craft the hammer and armor after you win the Civil War for the Stormcloaks. So either way, you need to finish the Civil War to get this armor unless you use a mod to make Galmar unessential. If you joined the Imperials, then your only opportunity to get the gear will be during the fight with Stonefist and Ulfric. If you joined the Stormcloaks, then you can't get the unique enchantment. I might change this in a future update, but it's supposed to be a unique weapon with some ancient Nordic heritage. Doesn't seem right for there to be a duplicate floating around, nor does it seem right for the second-in-command of the Stormcloaks to just give you his family heirloom. If you want it so bad, my feeling is join the Imperials and take it by force. Otherwise, join the Stormcloaks, serve under Galmar, and build a replica from memory lol.

- The armor is now considered part of the Stormcloak Officer set, so you get a Matching Set bonus whether you wear the full set or mix and match with the Stormcloak Bear outfit. Should you meet Stonefist in Sovngarde he'll actually be wearing the Stormcloak Bear helmet combined with the rest of the Stormlord set.

Optional Patches:
- Ulfric wears the armor: In this version, Ulfric wears the armor instead of Galmar Stonefist. He should change into it while escaping from Helgen. Because of the way Ulfric's clothes are changed (dynamically, programmed into quest fragments), the only way to replace his clothes without causing compatibility issues is to replace his whole outfit AND change his unique clothes to use the data for the stormlord armor. That is what the original mod did, actually. So with this patch, Ulfric's unique vanilla clothes will no longer exist. The records still exist of course, they have just been turned into stormlord armor. Galmar still wields Hevno Qo. So you can get the enchanted hammer by killing him, or craft it if you win the civil war for the Stormcloaks. As for the armor: because it's only worn by Ulfric in this plugin, and he doesn't wear a helmet, (or you couldn't see his face) you don't need to join the Stormcloaks to craft the armor in this version. You just need to win the civil war, for either side. This way if you're a legionary, or you couldn't loot Ulfric's body or whatever, you can still obtain the full set.

Let me know if you notice any bugs or problems in-game. I don't have any reason to expect a problem, it's a pretty simple kind of mod, but I haven't tested this in-game even once lol. If you like it, upload some in-game screenshots so I can see what it actually looks like in the engine haha.

By the way, how stupid is it that you have to upgrade warhammers with a... sharpening wheel?
