Added a Cancel button to the school selection menu, which allows you to exit the menu and returns the consumed potion.

You've been studying the arcane arts your entire life. Your foes tremble as you summon a blade from the realms of Oblivion and turn your flesh into armoured wood. Unfortunately, your surprise capture in an Imperial ambush causes you to forget all of your magical training and you awaken with Flames and Healing. Simple Starting Spell Selection removes these 2 starting spells from you and adds 2 potions that immediately teach you any selected Novice spell.

Details
2 new potions, Potions of Arcane Recollection, can be found by the dead mage in Helgen Keep and on the table next to Alternate Start's Statue of Mara. Drinking these potions will bring up a menu listing the five schools of magic. Select a school, and then pick a Novice spell to immediately learn.
I opted for this scripted approach over just adding the appropriate spell books both for better compatibility with spell learning mods and to prevent the temptation to pick up all the spells to sell them off for easy money.
There are eleven versions available, the main one listing only spells from the base game, and ten others that support combinations of Apocalypse, Mysticism, Tomebound, and Triumvirate spells.
Installation
Simply download the main file and install it to your favourite mod manager. The included FOMOD will guide you through the rest. If installing manually, move Simple Starting Spell Selection.bsa and one of the plugins (the .esp files) found in the numbered folders into the game's Data folder.
