Arcane Accessories is a nice little spell pack on the Creation Club for the price of the freebie Bethesda Bucks you get for signing up the first time. It has some interesting spells meant to get your little wizard through an unmodded Legendary difficulty playthrough. They hold up well in the face of the various difficulty mods and spellcasting adjustment mods but there's one really fun one called the Pride of Hirstaang that grants you health regeneration, frost resistance, AND summons a goddamn bear to follow you around for a bit.
I really liked the idea of this spell being the core of my new "Mystic Huntsman" character but it didn't take long for poor bear to get absolutely annihilated with all my modifiers and monster mods. So I made some adjustments and thought hey this is just the sort of niche garbage that someone else may like.
This next-to-non-existent ESL file changes the Summoned Bear and only the Summoned Bear to have the following:
- Name changed to Spirit Bear
- The ghost effect shader was applied similar to the Ursine Guardian from the vanilla game.
- Added the Daedra keyword (similar to what the Familiar has) so it scales better with perk overhauls that call out Daedra specifically.
That's it. I didn't adjust damage or health because of point 3. I only tested it with Adamant but any Conjuration change that specifically calls out Daedra should work, in vanilla that's only the Summoner perk if you can believe it. Let me know if it doesn't work with your favorite perk overhaul and I'll take a peek. It shouldn't conflict with any of the other various Arcane Accessories adjustment mods out there as long as they don't touch the summoned creature. On the flip side, if you have Lucien and teach him the Pride of Hirstaang his bear becomes a spirit bear too which I mean I think is adorable.
I've also added an optional file for the Alternative Armors - Stalhrim Fur Creation that turns it into Light Armor with the same stats as the Stalhrim Light Armor from Dragonborn. I just owned it, think it looks better, and fits the bill of the aforementioned mystic Nord huntsman I was making. Again - niche garbage.
