About this mod

A symbol of the recent past of cruelty of the Great House Dres of Morrowind, worn by the merciless slavemasters and created to inspire fear, and to destroy the hopes and self-esteem of slaves, this outfit made from Argonian and Khajiit leather, and adorned with their bones , is undoubtedly an unsettling view.

"A symbol of the recent past of cruelty of the Great House Dres of Morrowind, worn by the merciless slavemasters and created to inspire fear, and to destroy the hopes and self-esteem of slaves, this outfit made from Argonian and Khajiit leather, and adorned with their bones , is undoubtedly an unsettling view.

The Great House Dres, mostly located south of Morrowind, near Black Marsh, has long had the role of capturing, taming and selling slaves to all of Morrowind. The biggest victim was the people of Black Marsh, the Argonians, but also Khajiits were victimized over millennia of slavery undertaken and controlled by this House. Despite having become illegal by imperial order in the middle of the Third Era, it never really ceased, becoming more and more a practice done in camouflage, but still recurring. Also, expeditions to capture slaves in Black Marsh have become much less pompous.

The Dunmer culture that previously boasted its slaves, and traded them in large markets, started to repudiate this practice in large numbers, and, the ones who still accepted slavery started to practice it in a fearful and discreet way, due to the growing number of abolitionists, and pressure from other Houses like Hlaalu, and the Empire itself. But, with the arrival of the Fourth Era
, with the retreat of the Empire during the Oblivion Crisis, which also led to the fall of House Hlaalu, the greatest activist of abolitionism among the Dunmer, a sequence of catastrophes that would still be followed by others of greater scale such as the destruction of Vvardenfell, and the Argonian Invasion, the whole current situation of slavery became even more obscure and unknown, nonetheless, there are strong reports that it still occurs, in an underhanded way.

As mentioned before, the Dres Slavemaster set was created plain and simple with the mission to reduce the sense of importance and identity of slaves. Decorated with their own blood brothers, any slave who saw this armor knew that one day he might be part of one if he failed his masters. Nowadays it is difficult to obtain a set of this armor, and it's seen as taboo by many, however, it is easily overlooked by the unwary, who will easely think that the set is just an outfit made of animal skin."

A former monster hunter, now a dedicated scholar, he is planned to be released as an NPC in late 2022/early 2023, doing the same job in-game as my descriptions do on Nexus.)

How to obtain: Two members of the house Dres are in Solstheim, probably involved in business related to slavery. One can be found negotiating with Hrodulf House's Reavers, while another can be found dealing with Kagrumez's Reavers. By killing them it is possible to obtain the set. The set counts as light armor, and has hide armor stats, consisting only of boots and cuirass. Mod adds male and female variants. They can be improved using leather.

- 1 new set of light armor, divided into 2 pieces: Dres Slavemaster Outfit and Dres Slavemaster Boots

Playable races added via mod may not be compatible with this armor, requiring patch.
(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail's mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don't worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)
