About this mod
Removes a number of superfluous predators, prey and other wildlife of Skyrim, for a lively but less-cluttered ecosystem.

Certainly Less Annoying Wildlife Spawns removes hundreds of instances (while preserving hundreds of other instances) of the various creatures dotted across Skyrim's environment, with particular attention given to the roads and to settled areas. While there have been mods that move or remove some of the wildlife in-game, my approach was to keep actors in their normal locations and disable them individually. CLAWS does not eliminate wild animals entirely; you will still find plenty of creatures if you know where to look for them. Just don't expect to bump into many animals if you're staying on the roads and near settlements.
- Requirements: All DLCs are required. The Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch is also required.
- Compatibility: No issues that I know of.
Here's a quick summary of what CLAWS specifically changes from vanilla:
- Predators (such as wolves, bears, trolls, sabre cats and frostbite spiders) are quite rare along the roads and near settled areas. Don't expect to run into many of them unless you're going off the roads or venturing into remote territory. In a few cases, predator actors had their leveled difficulty altered.
- Prey animals (deer, elk, and wild goats) are less common in general, but still thrive in the wilderness and can sometimes be found on the roads or on the outskirts of populated places.
- Ambient creatures (foxes and rabbits) retain an even distribution and can still be found almost anywhere, although they too are less common than before.
- Mudcrabs are in their own category and are slightly less common. You'll still find them near bodies of water, but are less likely to be found near the roads.
- Miscellaneous: A few examples of human and animal remains have been removed in places which predators no longer occupy. For example, since a bear that formerly spawned just outside Pinepeak Cavern no longer does so, the corpses of two hunters have also been disabled.
All of these changes are bundled in a single cleaned, merged plugin. For the sake of customization and compatibility, I have also included plugins that each correspond to a single category of changes. If, for example, you wish to avoid the miscellaneous changes and also don't want Ambient creatures affected, you may choose to install only the Predators, Prey and Mudcrabs plugins.
Plans for the future include optional plugins for leveled lists, to prevent wildlife from leveling as drastically as in vanilla (so no more bear and troll spam just because you're level 50).
As a disclaimer: I am not experienced with producing mods for Skyrim and while I have cleaned and tested my mod out, I can't guarantee that it works flawlessly. If you come across any bugs or inconsistencies, please let me know.
