Rain ripples on water in cities
Overview
This is my first upload so hope that everything goes smooth. What that this mod do: it adds activator on every plain water or water stream without large amount of foam in Whiterun, Markarth, Dragon Bridge and more. It gives, in my opinion, some depth to rainy weather. Ripples layer is active only, well: only while raining. The base script and concept are from other famous and best water mod: Realistic Water Two and is very simple. In this mod I also try to fix some misplaced meshes (around those water systems which i tweaked).
Just use your favourite mod manager or unzip and drop in your data folder. Also you need to overwrite 2 files: script: WTRIsItRaining.pex and source: WTRIsItRaining.psc. If conflict won't show up then you need to intall Realistic Water Two again and after this mod.
Tweaking
I was trying to match the size of ripples on every mesh as best as I could but if you think that ripples are too big/small on certain surface then you can do this by yourself. Quick guide: need to download Nifskope and change 2 parameters (small numbers generate bigger ripples) here
Compatibility
Should be compatible with every mod that doesn't change water systems in Whiterun and Markarth. Only tested with Trees in Cities.
Known issues
Those new ripples layers cover all surface of pool or stream, so there is no occlusion. That means ripples will show even under bridges and footbridges. Maybe in the future i will try to do something with this but cannot guarantee.
