This is an long beloved mod previously only uploaded only on the steam workshop sometime back in 2012; Its held a dear place in my heart and has proven much more useful than any other player home ingame including Breezehome. As such I revisited the mod recently and fixed several things such as Navmesh while adding interesting sounds and enhancing the lighting and I'm quite pleased with the result! I am certain you will enjoy this beautiful home from the steam workshop!

Contents:

• Well-located player home inside of Riverwood (right next to Hod's mill)
• Enchantment table & starting soulgems
• Two followers (one hidden behind a uniquely tough dungeon) named Bethany and Maria; they are sisters.

In Depth:


Boss:
The final bosses are tough and I'll leave most of it for your own exploration, their names are Frodo and Todo, a married couple, and they apparently hate only the dragonborn since they will kill the vagrants hanging out in your basement too! Here are some quotes from the original comment section:

Bugs:

YES! I have finally conquered the Pale face glitch!-Weak1ings

The only known bug comes from a potential renaming of Riverside Cottage to TestTony, this bug happens seemingly randomly and is non-critical.

Compatibility:
This mod is compatible with just about anything as it modifies very little shared content but you may find foliage added may crop through the building, adding to an overgrown look for the exterior of the building. (fun fact, pictures from the steam workshop had this exact issue with trees poking through!)

Followers:

this is pretty cool i tried to pick pockets maria and now lydia keeps trying to kill her i dont get the option for her to follow me lol

Maria is a female Nord using the youngeager voice and is the sister of Bethany. She wears a full set of steel plate armor and can be found at the end of the dungeon and has a unique "death property." What she does is she explodes in a icy blast that damages everything nearby! (quite a minor amount so nothing gamebreaking)
She uses a sword and a shield and does not know magic but is a potential spouse, you merely have to rescue her.

Bethany is a female Nord using the youngeager voice just like Maria, she wears simple clothing and a set of hide armor can be found in one of the wardrobes. her crime faction is also from Whiterun so don't try to talk to her if you have a large bounty! She is a sturdy warrior and prefers using the bow and one handed weapons. She is also a potential spouse but don't forget about her ravishing sister Maria! ;)

Home:

The house is located inside of Riverwood just to the south of the mill, it is fairly small and features an enchantment table and cooking pivot on the first floor while offering storage, a owned bed, and basic weapons on the floor below. Its quite utilitarian in offering only what an adventurer needs!
Note: Adding to its utility, you may fast travel directly out of the home, saving time.
It also features a trap door that takes you to the basement where furniture is stored and a key plus thank you note can be found to unlock the dungeon. Just be ready to face a lot of enemies as they may follow you outside and into your home if you try to flee before they are killed!
Another thing to note is that dragons will also land on your riverside cottage, I hope you bought fire insurance!

Installation:
Just drag all the files in the zip folder into you skyrim/data folder or use Vortex/your choice of mod manager; its not 2012 anymore!

Items:
The Super Apple Pie is a extremely valuable pie which makes you incredibly strong for 60 seconds, however only three exist in the entire game so use them sparingly! Its also quite useful for fighting Frodo and Todo if you wish to rush Maria to freedom.

The Amulet of Bob is a very powerful amulet that nobody has found until Frodo and Todo discovered it hiding in your basement. It cannot be obtained until their demise but the effects of it are quite broken and overpowered, try shouting and see!

Looking back, apparently there are several homes with this name that have
opened up since; popular name I suppose but this was one of my first
mods for Skyrim before most of the DLC were released and the fact I
still use it means quite a lot! Its not really overpowered but favors a
"kickstart" approach rather than making the game absurdly easy.
