Sinister Soul Capture SFX
Years ago I decided that the original soul trap sound effect was too loud and jarring so I made this. This sound effect replaces the vanilla sound. It's much more subtle and spooky. Works on both SE and LE; safe to install and uninstall mid-playthrough; no esp or any other bs, just audio.
If the previews stop working, just download the mod then navigate to the .wav file and listen.
Manual installation:
(optional) backup the following file: data\sound\fx\mag\mysticism\soultrap\mag_mysticism_soultrap_capture.wav
unzip the mod
drag the mod's data folder into your skyrim folder, replacing the file when prompted.
To find your skyrim folder, go to steam, right click skyrim, click "properties", then "local files", then "browse"
Compatibility:
99% of cases should be fine, it's just audio. One report states that the sound is not replaced when using Immersive Sounds Compendium, I'll check it out
