A mod that originally was a request by DaveC, an old moderator of r/skyrimmods, that took *counts fingers* 5... years to get around to?
ABOUT DANG TIME.
The main idea was to save VRAM, but as I worked on it, I corrected a lot of mesh issues, and created the ground meshes. So after lots of work in 3ds Max and debug after debug, it was worth it.
This file will work on any version of the original Cloaks of Skyrim you have installed, as it only edits the Armor and ArmorAddon records, leaving any leveled lists alone.
Cloaks of Skyrim - Dawnguard is required to be enabled.
Changes:
New Normal map for Daedric capes.
Male Hide Cloak Mesh has had the object "Cape Inner" deleted, as it served no real aesthetic purpose and took up unneeded RAM.
Editor IDs have been tweaked for less mind-numbing editing (Form IDs are untouched)
Cape meshes with wild, useless vertices removed, and their mesh holes successfully wielded in 3ds Max.
All Cloaks have slider sets, minimal as they are.
Each cloak has it's own ground object, with the texture sets applied.
Features:
Is a original-dependent esp marked esl. It will work on whatever version of Cloaks of Skyrim you have loaded,
