I created this mod a couple of weeks ago while i was making a new playthrough, while i was strolling, one of those random encounters happened in the wild, the dead thief and the abbandoned horse.
I got pissed because CH (convenient horses) was not starting even tho i thought that the horse wasn't belonging to anyone.
The features of this mod evolves around those issues:
- Stealing or regularly obtaining a saddled (from a dead foe) or wild horse (not buying it) will trigger a mini-game, in 12ish seconds the player will try to tame the horse, the chances are slim but you can improving those by carrying "Carrots" (Increases 10% every 10 carrots, and one carrots gets consumed every taming attempt) or by having the "Steed" Standing stone (increases 20%).
If you succeed: The horse is considered yours, every eventual quest alias that horse was filling is cleared, only from base game quests. This will trigger the Convinient Horse quest and the Horse is potentially available for all your horse mod. Just mount and dismount if the quest doesn't start.
If you fail: The horse will unhorse you, the first time gently, the other times you might risk your life. Also if you are stealing it, enemies might caught up with you. To improve immersion i suggest to increase stolen horse bounty to 500g.
