I found it broke my immersion that NPCs complaining about money when dumping several thousand gold for training. Silda the Unseen and Grelka in particular.
Bethesda did actually make some immersive training already in the game with some tutorial quests for smithing and alchemy. Also, Anka does a good job of training archery though it is a one off quest.
I find it a bit offensive that trainers just award you skill points for money without any action.
So I made a simple mod that lowered the cost for training to a much lower value.
What the mod does: - Set fTrainingMultCost to 8 (was 10). - Set fTrainingExpertCost to 1 (was 3). - Set fTrainingMasterCost to 1 (was 5).
The mod is flagged ESL and should not count towards your load order. Mergeable with bash.
Update 15-08-2021: Added alternative training plugin for cheapest possible: - Set fTrainingMultCost to 1 (was 10). - Set fTrainingExpertCost to 1 (was 3). - Set fTrainingMasterCost to 1 (was 5).
