If you're like me, you saw the Sanguine Rose for the first time and thought, "Wow, that's the most awesome looking staff in the game," followed immediately by "Oh, that enchantment sucks a**, guess I wont use it..." That was a huge disappointment for me to find out I got this beautiful staff with an enchantment I'd only want on one specific character, and it's even more limited than a normal conjuration spell. So, I set out to fix it.
I've completely changed the staff enchantment from it's vanilla Summon Dremora to a combination of Absorb Health and Soul Trap. Both are a concentration type enchantment meaning rather than shooting a projectile like the Soul Trap spell it's a constant effect so long as you keep attacking. The casting animation has been changed too, now shooting thorns in a beam towards wherever you aim. Admittedly I did not do a truly comprehensive balance on the damage so if you feel it needs to be upped please let me know and I'll gladly change it, I just don't want it to be OP. In addition to new enchantment I've also given it infinite charge, because every Daedric Artifact should've been to begin with in my opinion.
This is the second in a series of True Daedric Artifact mods I'm making. I'm trying to rework/rebalance most every Daedric Artifact, even those other mods may have ignored in an attempt to make them all items that any Dragonborn would gladly equip and use even in late game. Please feel free to leave comments on which you would like to see next, as well as any ideas you might have for them or my existing mods to make them better.
