About this mod

Adds more nuanced dialogue options to Brunwulf Free-Winter's rant about the Nords of Skyrim.

I've never liked Brunwulf Free-Winter's attitude towards the nationalist faction of Skyrim's Nord citizens. The lore of Skyrim (and the Elder Scrolls as whole franchise) makes it clear that nothing about the civil war is simple, which extends to everything related to it. Skyrim's Nords aren't racists; they just want to preserve their homeland.

This mod adds a small dialogue tree, which allows you to persuade Brunwulf to at least consider the other side's position, rather than writing off nationalist Nords as "bigots." The conclusion of your conversation provides the same outcome as agreeing with him: he likes you, and you can converse with him further on the affairs of Windhelm.

This mod is probably incompatible with other mods which modify Brunwulf's dialogue options, but I really don't know for sure. This is my first published mod, so please post if you have problems. This mod will only change your game if you haven't engaged Brunwulf in conversation about Skyrim and the Nords.

================================================
Q. Why did you make this mod? (Also: "I don't like this mod." and "This mod offends me." and "How dare you?")
A. Because I wanted to.

Q. But I don't like this mod!
A. That's cool. I don't care.

Q. So you don't care about your users? (Also: "How dare you!")
A. If you don't like this mod, that just means it's not for you. That's cool.

I take a very "my house, my rules" approach to publishing mods on Nexus. I make mods for what I want the game to do, and if they don't suck, I publish them. If you find a bug or malfunction or other legitimate problem with any of my mods, please file a bug on the mod's Nexus page, and I'll fix it as best I can (which might not be very well, because I'm not exactly a pro at this, and Skyrim modding is crazy complex). If, however, you are simply outraged that I've published a particular mod, please take note that I don't care. It's that easy. It's okay for things to exist that don't cater to your morality and sensibilities. You don't need every single mod on Nexus to comply with your worldview for it to be considered legitimate. It's going to be okay, I promise.

Any comments left or bugs filed bitching about the existence of my mods will be indiscriminately ignored and deleted. Anything overly abusive will be reported, so save yourself the trouble and don't get yourself banned over being rude to me.

Q. Can I reuse your mod in my mod, or make a mod based on your mod?
A. Absolutely! I only have one requirement if you're going to use my whole mod to build your own: you can't play keeper-of-the-keys with your mod. Keep your mod open, because that's what makes modding great (and how people like me learn how to make mods!). Don't restrict people from downloading old versions of your mod. Don't delist it because you've decided you're angry at Nexus.
