This mod is about the Level, Attribute, Birthsign, and Class System from past Elder Scrolls games, focusing mainly on the System from Morrowind, and Oblivion, and some Optional stuff inspired by those two games.
So E.S.L.A. builds a bridge between the Perk system from Skyrim, and the Attributes from the Past games.
For this, I adjusted some of the Vanilla Perks to make room for the Attributes, so your Character can only be as strong as in the Vanilla game.
But even if you do not want to use the Vanilla Perk system, you can use any perk mod, as long as it is Patched and Adjusted for this mod.
Or if you do not want to have Perks at all, you can try out the "Mastery Perk" Add-on, which rebuilds Oblivions "Perk" System into the game.
This mod has some "Add-ons", which you can ignore if you do not want to use them.
Feedback is always Welcome, and if you find things that can be changed, tweaked, or even made better, you are free to tell me.
But please put all requests here: Requests
E.S.L.A.
After the Decision if you want to go with Ralof, or Hadvar, you will choose your Class, and your Birthsign.
At the end of Helgen, there is another chance to change your choice, the so-called "Shrine of Memory, but after that there is no further chance to change anything. The Shrine of Memory later functions as another normal Shrine, the blessing will give you 10 Endurance and 5% more Skill EP, but is only existing in the end of Helgen.
If you want to use an Alternate Start mod, then you can choose between, Realm of Lorkhan, Alternate Perspective, and Alternate Start by Arthmoor. These are the only patched Alternate Start mods at the moment.
In all of the above mods, you can now find a "Shrine of Memory" in it location, after choosing your Birthsign and Class, the Locations will open its Exits, and you are free to leave. After you left the location, there is no further option to change your choice.
The "Shrine of Memory" will still be available at the end of Helgen, in case you want to gain the blessing.
! Important note !
You can not change your Race, Gender, Birthsign, and Class after the Options I give to you. Doing so will reset all of your Progress, and can harm your save. You can still change your Character's Face, or Hair, in any way you like.
Attributes:
All the 8 Attributes are back, "Strength", "Intelligence", "Willpower", "Agility", "Speed", "Endurance", "Personality", and "Luck".
Every Attribute has its own use, increasing Strength, for example, will increase your Damage output with Melee Weapons, your total Stamina and your Carry Weight.
Take a look here, if you want to know what the Attributes are doing: Attributes
The Attributes you gain, differ from Race, and Gender: Race Attribute Values
Levelling:
Every 10 Increments of your Major Skills, you can level up after you have slept in a bed.
At the time you reach Level 50, you will require an extra Increment per level. So if you are Level 54, you will now require 14 Increments, and so on.
The system is integrated into the EP Bar, so you can always see, how far away you are from the next level.
When levelling up, you can then choose 3 Attributes to increase.
The amount of points you can increase an Attribute, is controlled by how many skill increments you have done on one of the Government Skills on the current level. You will need 10 Skill increments, then you can increase the Government Attribute by +5.
After levelling up, you will lose all Attribute Increments, and you will start with +1 again.
What attribute controls which Skill, can be read in the Character Menu (Tween menu).
By default, the mod is using the System from Morrowind, where it is possible to level up until All Major Skills are 100, by using the Legendary System, you can still reach all levels with this.
But you can be changed this in the MCM to the Perfection System from Oblivion, where levelling will get blocked, as soon as all Attributes are 100.
Character Menu:
The Tween Menu is redesigned into a Character Menu. In this you can see your Progress with the Attributes, and other Stats regarding your Character, as well as your Skill levels.
Birthsigns:
By default, you have 13 Predefined Birthsigns to choose from. All of them are the same as they were in Oblivion.
But if you want to see what Birthsign there are, see here: Birthsigns
If you want to make your own Birthsign, see here: Custom Races/Birthsigns/Classes
Classes:
By default, there are 21 Predefined Classes for you to choose, but even if there is no for you, you can simply create a custom Class inside the Game.
Here you can see, which classes are available by default: Classes
If you want to make your Own Class, see here: Custom Races/Birthsigns/Classes
The creation of a custom Class, with the in-game method, will not create an "ini" file.
Enchantments/Potions/Ingredients/Spells:
This mod adds Attributes, and for this reason, there is a need to increase them with some options.
Fatigue: (Optional - Can be Toggled in the MCM (by default this is disabled))
The Fatigue System from O.S.L.A. works like the one from Morrowind.
Stamina is drained by Running, Sprinting, Swimming, Jumping, Attacking, Blocking, and more.
Stamina has a Direct impact on your Physical Attack damage, the lower the Stamina, the lower the Damage, except Magic Attacks.
There are two types of running fatigue. Oblivion Based, will damage your current Stamina Regeneration by 75% while running. Morrowind Based, you will lose stamina while running, you can choose between them in the MCM.
Races (Optional)
If you want to check what the races get, see here: Racial Powers/Resistances/Weaknesses
NPC Support (Optional)
All NPCs, and Creatures will now get Attributes too.
The only exception are Hares, Goats, and Chicken.
Doomstones (Optional)
You can only get the power of the Doomstone at the time between 20<->6.
I changed the crown quest, since I wanted to.
You can now go to any stone you want to get the power from, and fill its power into the crown.
But if you gain the power which the crown has, then the crown will lose the power, leaving the crown without a power.
Mastery Perks (Optional)
This tries to rebuild the "Mastery Perk" system from Oblivion.
Perks are now gained, all 25 Skill levels, you will get a Notification if this happens. The Notification will tell you what you have gained.
All Perks are completely removed from the Game, and implemented into the Skill Mastery Perks. Because of that, it is useless to reset your perks with the Black Books.
You can see what you will get next, by taking a look into the Perk menu. But there is also a list of the Mastery Perks here: Mastery Perks
If you have less than 80% Carry weight, then you can use sneak roll.

Alternate Start - Live Another Life - Patch Available
Alternate Perspective - Alternate Start - Patch Available
Skyrim Unbound Reborn - Patch Available
Perk Mods: (Not Compatible with the Mastery Perk Add-On)
Adamant - A Perk Overhaul - Patch Available, load Adamant after my mod!
Hand to Hand - An Adamant Addon - Patch Available, load Adamant after my mod, then the Adamant Patch, then load Hand To Hand, and then the Patch for Hand to Hand.
Vokrii - Minimalistic Perks of Skyrim - Patch available, load it after my mod.
Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim - Patch available, load it after my mod.
Vokriinator - Patch available. This is for the normal one, and NOT for Black! Black will get a Patch, as soon as I want to look through too many perks.
Others:
CCs Survival Mode - A Patch for the Carry Weight problem is included in this mod, but you will need the Mod "Survival Control Panel", and need to deactivate in its MCM "Sleep to level up", else it will cause problems when levelling up.
In Between:
Skyrim Skill Uncapper - Could work, but E.S.L.A. is not build with it in mind.
Custom Race mods - All undefined Races will get the "Custom Race" config, but if you want to customized your Race, see here: Custom Races/Birthsigns/Classes
Perk Mods - They work, but it is better to patch them. If there is a perk mod which is not patched yet, then tell me, and I will see what I can do.
Incompatible:
Experience - Due to the reason, that my mod also builds in a Custom Levelling system.
Requiem - The Roleplaying Overhaul - Needs a patch, I will try to look into it, but I never used this mod, so it will take a while.
Mods that change the Book "Oghma Infinium"
Alternate Start mods - Patch needed, ask me, and I will try my best.
Mods that change the "Black Books" Reward perk.
With all mods that are setting the Base Values of the following Actor Values: Health, Magicka, Stamina, MagickaRate, StaminaRate, SpeedMult, CarryWeight.
Those Actor Values will get overwritten every 2 Seconds, so you can not set the Base value of them.
In order to increase them, you would need to use the "ModAV" Command, or use a spell or anything alike.
I have not yet found a better way to solve this, maybe someone else has.
Other:
Should be Compatible with all Versions of Skyrim Special Edition.
But I am only giving support for the current Version!

There is a Bug tab, please use this one to report something to me.
Known Issues
- Character Menu - Opening the Character Menu, can take a second or so. This can be shortened when using the mod "SSE Engine Fixes", and the mod "Papyrus Tweaks". For me, the menu opens without any Delay.
- The Character Menu does not have any sounds, this is due to the implementation of the Tween Menu, since I tried to give it sound, and it does not play at all.
