Despite my best efforts of adding RaceCompatibility, and scripts just failing to compile no matter what... it still wouldn't work. There is, however, this mod that I completely missed that does exactly what I wanted to do, but is better imho. I will be using this mod myself, and I recommend you do to.
Huge shout out to Polzovatel3 for DMing me in an effort to help me, and for directing me to the work he did for this mod.
