Optional XBox-360 Controller map changing the functions of some buttons/triggers.
Now updated for v 1.6.1170.
- Permissions and credits
Although there are plenty other maps on the Nexus, none fit my personal preference.
I made this mod a while ago for personal use, but decided to share with whoever wants it as well.
It was created from the original vanilla map, without changing too much.
But, it might take some time getting used to.
Basically, the Left Bumper is now the modifier; used for all the combinations.
(see the nice lay-out picture!)
Those keys/buttons that always interrupted my fighting, got moved to 'safer' positions.
Mainly sneak! Now, to sneak, press L-Bumper together with R-Bumper.
. . . and PointOfView: press L-Bumper together with (Y).
Some added 'nice-to-haves' also via the L-Bumper modifier.
Camera can be zoomed with LB+Triggers.
The 7 hotkeys can be assigned to your own liking.
To do so, go into your favorites list [D-Pad UP] and hightlight what you want as your hotkey. Then press and hold that d-pad key (or LB+DpadKey) and a number will show up in front of your favourite. Repeat for the other hotkeys.
Install/Un-install instructions:
First, it is neccesary to delete or rename ControlMap_Custom.txt from the game folder, otherwise the changes will not apply.
Then:
Download and use the mod manager of your choice, or unpack directly to your DATA folder.
No esp, no load order.
Uses no scripts, so can be uninstalled anytime.
Also works on Xbox One controller ~ verified by m44t, thanks.
May be used by other controller types (untested ~ more feedback welcome)
My game is still SE v 1.5.97, but it works on LE and on AE 1.6.40 as well.
Important:
Update for game versions 1.6.1130/70.
Correct version must be used for the newer versions. The game will CTD otherwise.
Open Permissions: I share this with the Skyrim community.
Not to be used for financial gain, whatsoever. You may use it otherwise as you wish.
