ℹ️ ADDS "CHEATS" TO WORLD OBJECTS TO MAKE SKYRIM MORE CONVENIENT AND FUN, WITHOUT FEELING LIKE YOU'RE CHEATING!

An immersive cheat is something changed or added to the game that makes it easier to play, but in a way that really makes sense. The mod "Game Environment Tweaks: Immersive Cheats (Extended Edition)" adds hundreds of immersive cheats throughout Skyrim. You can break tusks off mammoth skulls, use archery targets and combat dummies to increase combat skills, take wood from wood piles, and find alchemy ingredients in wood piles and barrels. There's also a chance to dig up leveled soul gems when you mine for ore.

The Sleeping Giant is no longer the only inn that has an alchemy table. Now you can make potions at any inn or tavern. You can enchant weapons at any pawn broker or fletcher, because they all have arcane enchanters. Smithing is now more convenient: Smelters are added in Solitude, Riften, Riverwood, and Whiterun at the Skyforge. Armor workbenches are added at the Skyforge and Dawnstar. Smithing chests to store your stuff are added outside every blacksmith shop. In the room you rent at each inn, there is a locked piece of furniture to safely keep your things. To unlock the chests or furniture, become Thane and use your house key, or find the key hidden outside each the player home, if you haven't yet become Thane.

Other cheats that just make sense: The Lunar Forge at the Silent Moons Camp near Whiterun now makes lunar weapons without an enchanting table. In Riften, the the Scorched Hammer forge now makes weapons with fire enchantments after you complete the quest "Stoking the Flames" for Balimund the blacksmith. Secret entrances outside each walled city can be used to sneak past guards. Plus, there's much more.

Many thanks to all the PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players who tried the original edition and expanded edition of the mod. I'll add more enhancements and document them. Please feel free to ask questions or make suggestions here at Nexus.

🆕 WHAT'S NEW (NOW USSE PATCH COMPATIBLE)

Version 2.6 should be Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch compatible. The version replaces snow-covered mammoth skills, which weren't compatible with the patch, with the original statics. You will still be able get tusks from other mammoth skulls.

👍 PLEASE RATE & COMMENT

If you like this mod, please rate it. The mod has been thoroughly testedduring many hours of gameplay. However, if you encounter an issue, or you find a place where you don't see one of the cheats, please let me know by posting a message.

⚙️ HOW IT WORKS

"Game Environment Tweaks: Immersive Cheats (Extended Edition)" combines and improves these mods:
  • GET Immersive Cheats
  • GET Smithing Supply Chests
  • GET Player Home Keys
  • GET More Smelters
  • GET More Forges, Grinding Wheels and Armor Workbenches
  • GET Soul Gem Mining and Crafting

You should disable those mods before installing this one. This mod enhances many unmovable objects you find throughout Skyrim, by turning them into containers, activators or "doors". Except for making mammoth tusks a little larger, it doesn't change objects the player is able to move or pick up. The mod also modifies some items you interact with (such as two forges) and adds more objects to the world you can use (like arcane enchanters, alchemy tables, bedrolls, smelters, and armor workbenches). This makes the game easier and more fun, in a way that makes sense. One example:

Let's say you want to go to Whiterun at night to make a weapon, enchant it, sell it, and get a bed for the night (to get the well-rested bonus and level up faster).  Without the mod, you'd have to go through 6 load screens when you: (1) enter the Whiterun gate to use the forge, (2) enter Dragon's Reach to use the enchanting table, (3) exit Dragon's Reach, (4) enter the Drunken Huntsman to sell the enchanted weapon, (5) exit the Drunken Huntsman, and (6) enter the Bannered Mare to pay 10 gold to rent a bed.

With this mod, you can enter the city quicker (through a secret on the wall entrance near the stables), and you wait for only two load screens. All you need is now in the Drunken Huntsman. There you'll find an enchanting table to enchant your weapon, a merchant to sell the weapon to, and a bedroll to use for free.

🎁 WHAT YOU GET

Some of the features for the PC and Xbox versions are unavailable for the PlayStation version. Where this is the case, it is stated in the following description.

  • Tusks You Can Loot from Mammoth Skulls: The tusks are needed for quests that require them, for making extra coin, or for making alchemy ingredients (also a feature of this mod). PlayStation: Activate a mammoth skull to take a tusk. Xbox and PC: Strike a mammoth skull a few times with any weapon to immersively remove a tusk. The skull even changes to one with a missing tusk. Tusk size is increased to make them proportional to the skulls, but the weight is the same. PlayStation, Xbox and PC: The value of tusks are now doubled.

  • Combat Dummies and Archery Targets that Improve Your Skills: Xbox and PC only: NPCs now aren't the only ones who find using them useful. As you do damage to them with your weapons, your archery, one-handed or two-handed skills slightly increase.

  • A Lunar Forge That Actually Works as Expected: A journal near the forge at the Silent Moons Camp in Whiterun Hold says the secret to making lunar weapons with the forge was discovered. So, why can't the player make them? Now you can: Use the forge to make steel and iron weapons with the Silent Moons enchantment (requires a nirn root).

  • A Real Improvement for the Scorched Hammer Forge: The Riften blacksmith Balimund sends you on a quest to collect fire salts to improve his forge. After completing the quest, the forge now has a tangible improvement: You can optionally use it make weapons with fire enchantments (no enchanting table required).

  • Enchanted Torches: The candle on the second floor of Windhelm's Candlehearth Hall now lives up to it's reputation: It gives an equipped torch an eternal flame, that never goes out. Enter the Candlehearth Hall and talk to the bar keeper to get the story of the candle with a flame that never dies. Equip a torch and activate the candle to add the Eternal Flame enchantment. The torch never stops burning and gives the player or the player's follower who holds it a 20% resistance to frost.

  • Messages for Shadow Marks: Activating Shadow Marks throughout Skyrim now displays messages explaining what they mean. It's handy if you're playing a thief and don't want to carry around the book to explains them.

  • Secret Entrances to Each Walled City: If you want to sneak into a city undetected or make a quick escape, secret entrances and exits have been added to each walled city. Locations for each: Markarth can be entered from the stream exiting the city. Riften can be entered from the boat gates in the lake. The Thieve's Guild can also be accessed using the ladder inside the rotunda at the marketplace. Solitude can be entered through a round opening on the city wall near the Khajiit caravan campsite. Whiterun can be entered through the water grate near the stables. Windhelm can be entered through a round opening behind a dead tree on the north-eastern corner of the city wall. It exits to a snow-covered manhole outside the New Genisis Corner Club in the Grey Quarter. The key to the secret passage is hidden in an ash yam jar in the 3rd floor bedroom of the Corner Club. The Thane housekeys open the other secret passages. The master lock for each passage can also be picked.

  • Keys to All Player Homes: Now you can try before you buy the homes. Find them hidden near the front door of each player home (for example, activate the rock outside Breeze Home in Whiterun). You can use the keys to enter the homes and look around. They also unlock the smithing chests added by this mod. Each one has a bed you can sleep in to get the well-rested bonus and chest to store your stuff.

  • Smithing Chest to Use or Steal From. Three chests are outside each blacksmith shop. Two are owned by a citizen of the city or town. One is for the Thane of the hold where the chest is found. If you don't want to wait to become Thane, just use the player home key. Some of the chests have more than just smithing supplies. You'll find rare armor in some. For example, a full set of Penitus Oculatus armor is in the Solitude thane chest, and a duplicate set of General Tulius' armor is found in his chest. Steal from the chests to increase your lock picking skill, or increase your pick pocket skill to get the keys to unlock them.

  • Stocked Chests and Furniture in Rentable Rooms. Every room the player can rent in Skyrim's nine holds now has a locked chest, cupboard, dresser, or wardrobe stocked with useful stuff. The furniture are also safe to store items in, without them being deleted or marked as stolen. Items the player can find include warm fur helmets or Skaal armor; torches and other useful items for surviving survival mode; rare or enchanted weapons and armor, including enchanted crossbows, Nordic weapons and magic staves; boss loot; and much more.

  • Smelters Where They Should Be: Find them in Riverwood, Riften, Solitude and at the Skyforge.  Not only do they make it more convenient for creating ingots. They also look like they were always meant to be there.

  • More Enchanting and Alchemy Tables: All inns and taverns now have alchemy tables. All pawn brokers and fletchers have enchanting tables.

  • Sleeping for Free at Inns, Taverns and Temples: Bedrolls have been added to all taverns. Sleeping in them for free to get the rested bonus, as long as a drunks aren't already using them to sleeping it off.

  • Cooking Pots and Cooking Spits Where They Should Be: Make the game's "Survival Mode" easier. Every inn, tavern, jarl's longhouse, and jarl's hall now has a place to cook the meals to keep you warm in the wild.

  • Fires that Really Burn: Jumping into most camp fires and hearth fires now actually burn you. Fires that Really Burn: Jumping into most camp fires and hearth fires now actually burn you. You can even cast healing spells to improve your restoration skill.

  • Mining and Crafting Soul Gems: Blackreach is no longer the only place to mine soul gems. There's a chance to find a leveled soul gem at any ore vein you take a pick axe to. You can also combine soul gems at a forge to make larger ones, or split them into two smaller soul gems.

  • Woodpiles You Can Actually Get Wood From: Activate just about any wood pile to take a few wood logs.

  • More Alchemy Ingredients in Barrels and Wood Piles: Ingredients also used for cooking are found in barrels. Ingredients that are bugs and mushrooms are found in wood piles.

  • Alchemy Ingredients in Woodpiles and Barrels: Activate woodpiles to find various kinds of bugs and mushrooms for making potions. In barrels are all kinds of ingredients that are also used for cooking, like salt piles, snow berries and honey combs. Like the food found in barrels, it's not a crime to take them.

  • Loot in Special Crates: If you're doing the Thieves Guild questline, the East Empire Company Warehouse now has things worth stealing in the crates.

  • More Treasure in Urns and Corpses: Larger urns now have three times more treasure than smaller ones. Burnt and draugr corpses have more loot in them.
