Emily The Messy
(Adult version)
Emily has grown up into a fine archer and has won many tournaments, rating in the top ten in her class.
Though she can use a single sword in close combat, Emily prefers to bombard the enemy with flaming arrows as she knows this is most effective against her foes to weaken them.
This method of flaming arrows can be traced back to the time of Genghis Khan, Chinese Dynasties, and even Julius Caesar of Rome to name a few. This method was also used by the Indians to burn forts. One of the tactics was to launch flaming arrows at anything that would burn such as wooden barriers. It was also effective in sieges as the arrows would be launched over the city walls to set houses on fire, creating chaos.
Archers are not combat heroes and prefer to stay back while letting the arrows fly, killing as many as they can before actual close combat was engaged. It also caused morality to go down for the enemy. This is why archers are a very important part of any army.
Archers are not very good in close combat. Do not expect Emily to win your battles by herself.
