About this mod
Ainor is a half Nord, half Altmer follower you can find hanging out at the Inn of Kynesgrove.

He's a potential follower and a marriage candidate, if you like.
Be warned, he can use the Ice Form shout.
Once you recruit him, you can read the journal in his inventory and know more about his story.
And if you have some spare time, you can help him avenge his mother and get back her necklace.
Race: Nord (I tried to make a custom race but the Creation Kit crashed so I just added the extra skills as perks)
Weight: 60
Height: 1.06
Voice: MaleEvenToned
Class: Scout (magica offset 25)
Spells: Healing, Fast Healing, Oakflesh, Stoneflesh, Ice Form Shout
Perks: Light Foot, Overdraw, Critical Shot, Ranger, Power Shot, Agile Defender, Barbarian, Adept Restoration, Recovery, Regeneration, Adept Alteration, Magic Resistance
Weapons: Hunting Bow, Greatsword
The mod is a simple ESP flagged light.
I just added two NPCs and a couple of items.
I decided not to do a full quest because I didn't want to bloat the game with other scripts and make a full ESP that will occupy a slot for a thing you can solve in five minutes. All the clues are in the diary, the enemy is easy to find and you can get the necklace back from his dead body and give it to Ainor (or sell it, but that would be rude!).
This way you can install and uninstall the mod at any point in the game (just be sure to dismiss Ainor first and take back the stuff you gave him).
He has a follower-friendly voice so you can use the vanilla framework or any other follower manager you like (ATF, EFF, Nether etc.)
Requirements: None except a good skin texture (or keep it vanilla if you don't mind those kinda things).
He will use your default skin and body (in the picture I use Tempered Skin for Males).
KS Hair texture included.
Uses vanilla gear. Pretty much anything beside the hair is linked to the vanilla texture paths, so you can apply any replacer for clothing, brows, eyes, beard etc.
Compatibility: both NPCs and items are created new so shouldn't conflict with anything. But let me know, just in case.
You might have trouble finding him if you have a mod that changes the interior cell of the Inn in Kynesgrove, but even if I placed him outside he would get lost anyway so in case he disappears try saving and reloading or turning the plugin off and on again, and in the worst case scenario use the console command player.placeatme (you can look up his ID by serching "help Ainor").
Racemenu preset in the optional files.
Requires Expressive Facegen Morphs (if you don't have it, load the preset and then go to the Sculpt tab and import the .nif file of the head included in the CharGen folder).

Recommended mods to make him look like the picture:
- Beards and Brows
- Natural eyes

FAQs and spoilers
I can't find the thief.
Look in the Ratway, he should be in that room with the table, after the other room with the axe stuck in a wood stump in the middle.
Can I have a no warpaint version?
There is a reason why he has that paint (mentioned in his diary) so I'd rather not remove it.
But you can always do it yourself if you care to follow a simple tutorial.
Where's the necklace?
On the thief's body (He's called Larry the Swift). It's a silver necklace with a sapphire called "Ainor's necklace". If you can't find it or the thief, I have no idea where it went so the best you can do is search through the console help command. It's not that important anyway.
I gave him the necklace back and he didn't even say thank you.
He's just like this, he doesn't like to talk much. Just know that he will be always grateful and watch your back when you need him.
He shouted while I was in the way and I ended up frozen solid. What do I do?
Ehm… accidents happen. If there aren't other enemies that can hit you and break you free, just wait for a while for the ice to melt.
I know. I know. It's annoying. It happened to me twice while testing. I just find it so incredibly funny that I decided to keep it this way.
But I want a different shout!
Sorry. That's Ainor's choice.
I'm sure the Greybeards will be happy to teach you all the shouts you want.
Can I change his stats, combat style, spells etc?
If you have a follower framework that allows you to do all those things, feel free to mold him as you heart desires.
Marriage, seduction, romance, etc.?
Im my head, he already has a girlfriend (maybe you'll meet her in a future mod :D) but, as I said, he is marriageable and as a generic NPC you can use any romance mod you like (and since he will use your body, he can do anything else you want. Just… keep it private :P)
It's not lore friendly enough!
Uhm... okay, I guess?
