Translations of this mod are highly encouraged, as well as porting it for Xbox! I'd appreciate a heads-up before you do as well. :)
My mod preview:
Do you get super anxious or uncomfortable having some stranger constantly looking in your general direction while you're trying to relax and enjoy a good drink at your local inn? You just wanna slam your tankard in the desk, get up from your stool, walk up to this offender and tell them how you feel? Well, look no further.
This mod adds a new shout named "Quit the Staring" to the player upon loading your game. Upon equipping this shout, you need to hold down the shout/power key while aiming at someone for it's full effect. The main/final word of this shout is scripted to set the target to "look at themselves", cheaply disabling their headtracking so it may appear that they're now practically minding their own business. This effect lasts for ten real-time minutes, then they will start headtracking normally again. And simply tapping the shout key will dispel the effect for this NPC. Do note that even while they're under this effect, they may still look at you when you're in dialogue with them.
This shout has been voiced in xVASynth based on the playable vanilla races' voicetypes. Khajiit's spoken dialogue line will be unique to the other races.
In a future update I plan to cover the rest of the non-unique voicetypes to have voice files for the shout, for those who are using other mods to change the player's voice, such as PC Headtracking.
And the NPCs reaction to you using the shout against them uses only a couple of random pre-existing dialogue lines, one being "Hmph." and the other being "Whatever you say!"
Before you start picking on me about the shout's letters in the dragon tongue not matching the English words, I went to the following site to translate,
https://www.thuum.org/translator.php
I don't really care if the translation or runic letters are not 100% accurate or this mod not being entirely lore-friendly in general, this mod was mostly made for fun but also made to fill out my personal comfort zone ingame. This is probably not the most popular mod I've made, but hey, to each and their own. I hope at least a few people appreciate me sharing this mod to begin with.
