--- THIS ITEM IS JUST A TRANSMOG SKIN ---
You need to use other mods that function as transmog systems in order for it to function a skin (See Skyrim Outfit System below)

What -

Adds an invisible backpack to the game.

Can be used in conjunction with other mods to effectively hide the appearance of the player's backpack while still gaining the stat bonuses from any equipped backpack.

The invisible backpack uses Slot 47 on the default model, so it could be used to replace the appearance of any other amor/accessory item that also uses slot 47

Why -

I created this plugin for personal use, based on Aleru's Invisible Armor, which I use to hide my character's helmet in conjunction with Skyrim Outfit System SE.

How to get the backpack -

This backpack is not craftable or in set up in any leveled lists. If you just want the item, you will need to add it to your inventory through console commands or use a mod like the Skyrim Outfit System SE.

If you just want the backpack item to do with as you will, In the game console type:

Help backpack

to get the BaseID of this item.

Then type

player.additem (BaseID of the backpack) 1

It should now be in your inventory.

OR

Install Skyrim Outfit System SE, create a new outfit in the MCM. Set the search term 'invisible' and in the armor list the Invisible Backpack should show up. Add it to your custom outfit and don't forget to click the 'Allow passthrough' option on your outfit so that you don't appear completely naked.

Permissions

Anyone is free to use, modify, copy any part of this mod. All I ask is for some credit or link to this mod page.

Compatibility

There should be absolutely zero compatibility issues with any other mods.

Requirements

  • Skyrim
  • Dawnguard

Install / Uninstall

  • Drag / drop into data folder to install. Remove to uninstall.
  • Or use MO2/Vortex

Optional

The mod now includes a model and texture of a knapsack for display in the inventory screen. If you don't feel this is necessary or just don't want the extra data
then just remove the model and textures from the downloaded mod.
Known Issue's/Work to be done

  • This mod currently only supports the default race, i.e. will not work with Lykaios.
  • When inspecting the item the image of a piece of chest clothing will appear. I wanted to keep this mod with minimal dependencies, and as there are no backpacks in Skyrim.esm or Dawnguard.esm, I will have to add a model of a backpack just for the inspection view. This is on to-do list. New mesh and textures added from DrSoupIII's Knapsack Backpacks SE (with permission)

If there's any specific race you wish for me to add let me know and I have time I can add it to the list.

Thanks to

Aleru for his invisible armors
TheKineticEffect for his work on the Skyrim Outfit System
DrSoupIII for his permission to use one of his knapsack models and textures
