"Not anymore they don't!!" RS13
Serana Dialogue Addon is a great mod, but it adds so much to Serana that everyone's bound to dislike something about it. I strongly dislike that it has Serana "justify" the dark brotherhood killings by voicing backstory from "The Dark Brotherhood for Good Guys." I also dislike that has her express opposition to those that can't be "justified." Again, great mod, but I have no interest trying to spin contract killers as benevolent and I don't think Serana's opposition to the Dark Brotherhood fits with her character--even her rewritten character in SDA. So I changed it.
Complete list of changes:
-The above line will never fire.
-After "Friends like These" (where Astrid kidnaps you) the player force to describe the people he killed (b/c come on, you murdered them all, didn't you?). The PC's dialogue is changed from "Not the best bunch. I could tell they were either criminals, or immoral people" to "Unfaithful spouses, rivals, witness? Who knows? Who cares?"
-In reply to the above Serana skips straight to "So what now, now that you've repayed your "debt"?" instead of saying "that makes it better at least."
-After receiving your first contracts, Serana says "hand me the dossiers" but does not go on to describe how each of the targets really deserve it. Because, really, who cares if they deserve it?
-After receiving the contract on the emperor, Serana will ask to talk but then simply state "So it looks like Amaund is part of the Elder Council. Not surprising, honestly... " and not go on to imply that it might be a good thing because of the white gold concordat. This is a much better fit with her backstory: she knows all about political backstabbing from her time at Harkon's court. She didn't even know there was an emperor until recently.
**This is a little jarring, so I may try to do something with it later.
-In "Recipe for a disaster" she will skip right over the "oh no... It looks like they're going through with it" dialogue and go straight to "But... impersonating a famous chef."
-The "I'm disappointed" dialogue will not trigger after killing Nilsine Shatter-shield in Mourning Never Comes.
-The radiant lines "don't tell me we're actually doing this" (uttered before killing the emperor) and "he seemed like a good man" (after killing the emperor) will not fire.
Unrelated Change:
-The Combat Bark "If you lay one finger on my sweetheart... you're gonna get what's coming to you!" will not fire. Not related to the main purpose of the mod, so I'll produce a version without if anyone asks. But that line is cringe town for me.
