It relies on assets from UndeadFX, used with permission of the author, WDog367. (UndeadFX has open permissions, I still asked just to be safe as I plan on eventually removing UndeadFX as a master.)
You will need to have UndeadFX installed

After installing UndeadFX, run SSEEdit, compact the forms, and ESL flag it (been using it this way for ages and it works great). If you do not complete this step, this mod will not work and will CTD more than likely.

This mod also uses SPID to distro the spell tomes to most of the Spell Merchants in the game, and the spells to higher level (relatively speaking) necromancer and vampires in the game. Base 15% chance of that happening.
Why this mod? Well, normal skeletons (the monster in game) do not have animations to use crossbows or dual wield. Human actors do on the other hand. So by using the assets from UndeadFX, and a little bit of spell creation, you now have summonable skeletons that have crossbow animations, and dual wield animations. Right now the dual wield skeletons only are using dwarven daggers, BUT they will use any animation packs you might have installed that affect NPCs. Animated Armory comes to mind, yes, the Skeletons will use animations using this method.
