Firstly, thanks for all support so far guys!

(05/27/2023) Version 1.7 is up. A quick update is available for those not wanting to redownload the 2 gb zip (This quick update includes loose files)
This will be the final update to Warden of the Coast. There were additional updates I wanted to make, but after some consideration, I’d like to use my free time to transition into other projects. It’s been a pleasant journey, and while it isn’t perfect, the original vision for the mod has been met, and with that, I feel the project is complete.

     Changes are as follows:
    Spoiler:
    Show
     - Fixes bug where companions will stop combat if hit by the player
    - Changes Dagon's appearance to make him more unique than regular dremora
    - Adds dialogue scene in Sovngarde after the mod's completion
    - Reworks starting quest for more reliability
    - Console command for jumpstarting questline fixed

A console command directory is available for those having trouble with a quest (If this is necessary I'd ask that you report the issue so I can address it): CC directory

    Incompatibilities I have verified:
    Redbag's Solitude

    Incombatibilities reported by users:
    The Great City of Solitude
    Solitude Docks
The Scarlet (Not confirmed as an incompatibility yet, but it looks like it may be)
    Dawnstar Manor
Lyngwi - A Nordic Village SSE
    DK's realistic ships

Is this in mod in development for consoles? Cause it's so good  and I would like to play it myself but I have only an Xbox to play it.

I just finished the mod. I got a not-so-good ending, but I made my peace with it. Ha.
The mod is very, very good. What you say matters, and you're supposed to keep an eye on the regard system, which I didn't, but the mod can still be played to completion with no issues.

I thought I had ran into bugs a couple of times, but it wasn't the case after all. I just need to "pay attention".

For example, in a quest I had to "follow X to Y". But I got ahead, and got to Y before X got there. The next stage didn't trigger. I reloaded, followed X, and no problem.
Another time, I went to a cave for a X's quest.. but X wasn't there. After panicking a bit, I realized I had another quest with X, in Miscellaneous, from before. Went there, and there was X waiting. Did that quest first, headed back to the cave, and no problem.

Loved the mod, will play again for a better ending. And it broke my heart a bit.

PS: in the mod author's youtube page, there are videos about how to play it "properly". What to say, and do, to get the best ending possible. Too bad I realized after. Oh, and yeah, after you go to the island, you're not going back to Skyrim until you finish it.

Oh, and the voice acting.. very well done. Loved it, and I don't always notice it in other mods. Excellent actors.

This mod has some very good things and others that do not work for me. The landscapes are excellent and there is a good variation of the main NPCs. It avoids the extensive maze structures that are such a bane of Elder Scrolls games - because of them I never finished Daggerfall.  The first section worked perfectly once I dismissed my follower (as insructed).
I had no problem with Iriel appearing to be a sister as I long ago stopped using beast race characters as Dragonborn.
On the other hand, it makes no sense that the village outcasts are much better armed than the villages - they would soon have taken them over.
I have found generally that the mods (and indeed the vanilla quests) involving the more unpleasant Daedric Lords are ones that I have no appetite for (and the vanilla ending as servant to Hermaeus Mora has always been an irritation).
Having no shops and no contact with base is bad enough. When all of my followers suddenly disappeared and no further quests were marked in any way means that I have had to revert to an earlier save.
Some of the additional features, such as healing companions  easily at any time, should be taken on by others for general use.
This deserves to have someone tidy it up and perhaps even add to it, although I may be too old to wait for that.
    At least it never crashed.

    At the risk of getting banned again for having an opposing opinion this mod is bad. First of all you get trapped on an island with no information to go off of. You never know what is going on and do not have any hints on where to go. I was lost before I triggered a quest marker for over three hours. It is pretty, the map and design are amazing major props to that. The npcs and plot are pretty bad though not gonna lie. The oblivion portal inside was lackluster as well and going through it twice felt more like a chore than anything. The follower quests i managed to fail all of them. I went into this mod blind like i do with every mod. So to be somewhat fair if you want to play this mod you need a walkthrough or you'll get skrewed like i did weather it be by being lost, or by failing companion quests. i should note i did not know these even excisted because none of the companions have dialogue to suggest they do nor did any of them interact with me in a way that whowed they did. The daedra war and after has a major bug too. All the daedra appearing from the portal during the final battle start having thier hair strecth from the gates. it ends up making a mess thats hard to see through. this one was not it and i wish there was more negative feedback on nexus so i could tell how solid a mod is. i get people do this stuff for free yeah yeah yeah, but on gamesbanana i like having both good and bad reviews so i can determine if it's for me. i almost never write reviews either and i made one like this on another account which was also tame like this so if i do get banned or have this comment pulled i'll just stay away from this site for good and live without mods from here. i am also a little sad that i have to start th egame over cus i did not enjoy this mod that much :{

This is an extraordinary mod along almost every vector of consideration. The author indeed could make a great addition to a Bioware team. It was very impressive. I happily endorse it.

But, everyone who plays this mod, please be aware that it requires a lot of commitment of time and emotional energy.

I don't want to get into details for spoiler purposes but there was a point near the end where certain game mechanics used to prepare for the final battle just broke me, and I could not play to completion. I'd hate for the same thing to happen to you.

I encourage all to give this a go but I urge you all to keep these things in mind.

--This is quite an experience. Please be ready to devote the proper time to it, make sure you aren't in a mindset that you are going to get frustrated easily, and please keep a save from before you leave the mainland, just in case you realize this experience isn't for you.

--Preparation and careful timing are your friends. If something looks like it might be important later, do it, slowly and carefully. Don't put off at least starting it.

--The main world space for this mod is relatively small, and that fact helps you a lot. Even without fast travel you should be able to zip around the world space.

--If you're not sure what comes next, maybe you need to rest on the ship.

--Most of the time you'll have a quest marker. If you don't have one, try resting on the ship. But...

--MOST of the time, you'll have a quest marker. Not all. Sometimes a little creativity is required.

I'm confident that, if you're up for it, this mod is a super rewarding experience.

Thank you for these tips!  How many playthroughs have you completed?
It looks like there is a lot of branching in dialogue, which can add a lot of replayability.

I'm just starting, and your message really shows that this mod deserves time and attention. We have to treat companions as real people, as the mod tracks your actions and what you say when you speak to people.

Kudos to the mod author for creating such a different new lands mod.

Are there any plans to port this to LE? Or is it just an SE mod?

How do I get the ending where Dragonborn escapes with a lover, leaving the crew behind ? A video posted by author states that Dragonborn needs to be held in low regard by lover. That is nearly impossible to attain, because romance requires high regard. Am I missing something ? What is the point of making ending that nobody can reach ?  I don't care if some consider it undesirable, it is a legitimate ending and it should be attainable. I am not taking moral lessons from video games or mod authors.

I found this in the change log:

"Run away with lover" ending is now based on regard and will only be initiated if the player's regard with their love interest is below 15

    That is ridiculous !

Also, there is one obvious way to prevent the reaping and ruin Dagon's plans forever. Kill everyone on the island. Oh, wait, you are supposed to be a hero or something in this mod.....

One of the character in the mod is Half-Orc. According to "Racial Phylogeny", a lore book, it is not possible. Orc's can not have children with humans or elves.

Amazing mod , you get lost in the plot so fast when you interact with your companions , but it has really given me a headache with amount of times i crashed
*possible crash when the first dream occur (playing in 1st person solved it it seems)
*crash when The funeral scene begins just when u step outside the cave (i waited 3 in hours game before going out of the cave and the crash stopped so i think it has smth to do with npc animations)
*crash when you want to try to recruit villages for the final battle
*crash after you escape oblivion , in the make it count quest just when u get outside the cave(Turing off collision with tcl and just moving to the ship fixed it)
*there is this bug where the follower keep sheathing and unsheathing forever only workaround is to save and reload
But enough of this it is a very good mod , thank you TheBawb for this skyrim really need more mods like this
And a big shoutout and thanks to these talented voice actors they really made every dialogue seems more alive
