Guide? Where'd DXVK 4 DUMMIES go?
The guide's here on google drive with clickable links. I woke up today and saw the guide's been removed by a moderator. It seems a few guides on Nexus have also been taken down. Sorry to everyone who helped, the posts are gone including the long AF description I probably put too much effort into. Trust me, I really had no clue we couldn't upload "just guides" as files. I'll now proceed to messing around with several dxvk.conf files to comply with Nexus' rules but also to find better settings for users. Posts tab will be for anyone who gets CTDs and lags, I'll still be trying to figure out what causes it for them.
No Stutters? Really?
So there are 2 DXVK files on Github, the other one's the async version that's been reported to not cause stutters. While the stutters do disappear on the non-async after some time, I prefer my game not stuttering at all. It's worth noting though that the non-async version gave me a tiny bit more fps, but stuttered every new location I went to.
CTD? FPS drops?
I've shifted my attention to looking for causes to the FPS drops lots of Nvidia users are experiencing, it'll take some time of course as I'm an AMD user. Regarding CTDs though:
There are currently 2 CTDs: Main Menu CTD and MO2 CTD.
Configuration files? (installation: drop into skyrim directory)
The dxvk.conf files can make or break your setup, I would know, because I tried a few yesterday and the results were crazy. I tested this with the heaviest draw calls I could find on Nexus, JK's Blue Palace with Lux XD. Draw call and triangle counts were around the same for all 3 tests. Remember, I ran this with my own setup so the results will not be the same for you, it could be worse or it could be better:
No DXVK fps=23.4
DXVK fps=31.6
DXVK + Configuration fps=37.1

- Main Menu CTD is likely caused by mod conflicts so try running another MO2 profile without mods.
- MO2 CTD right after clicking Run is either a conflict with Reshade or an incorrect dxvk install.
