About this mod
This mod adds scabbards / straps / sheaths to all greatswords in the game (SE + AE content). Meshes based on USSEP where needed.

I was frustrated with the quality of existing Greatsword Sheaths and Scabbards mods, so I made one for myself. This is a very simple, very vanilla+ mod that adds a scabbard / strap / sheath to all swords for SE + AE content. It just provides a tiny bit of extra immersion over the vanilla models.
Existing mods like Greatsword Sheaths and Scabbards Redux SE and Scabbards for Creation Club Swords did 3 things that frustrated me.
1 they were sloppy in execution with missing normal maps, environmental maps, very low effort diffuse textures, stuff like that
2 there is no mod that provides a solution for all SE and also AE greatswords
3 they have closed permissions which just annoys me no end
My mod adds scabbards or straps to all greatswords in SE + AE. No full size sheaths covering the whole sword - if you want that you need to find another mod.
If you don't play with AE content you can still use the mod, nothing will happen - it's only a mesh replacer with some custom textures based on vanilla. This means the mod will also work with texture replacers - only my custom textures for the scabbards and straps will not get replaced.
The scabbards and straps or based on existing vanilla models that were already in the game, so you can be sure all normal maps and environmental masks are in order. For example, the Glass Greatsword strap comes from the Glass Sword. Most other swords use the scabbard from the vanilla Iron (?) Greatsword as a base. I edited the cubemaps to whatever one the weapon was using in vanilla already, when needed, to make things look extra cohesive.
The textures for the scabbards and straps are based on the texture for the vanilla Iron Sword Strap, but each texture was edited by me personally to properly reflect the color of the weapon or armor associated with the weapon.
If you want a different weapon shape from vanilla then you'll also need to find another mod. Personally I don't like full sheaths for greatswords on my back.
My mod uses the vanilla meshes (from USSEP when needed).

I think there are also regular swords that are missing scabbards, and I think Warhammers and Battleaxes could also use a strap. I might investigate and add these to the vanilla model - if you know which models are missing straps please let me know.
