About this mod
This mod fixes the horse standing bug present in "Skyrim VR" mounted combat.

- Fixed long term standing bug issue that has plagued VR mounted combat.
- Lockpick doors, Harvest Ingredients, Loot dead bodies and start NPC dialogue from horseback with activation prompts.
- Equip any magic staff in both hands.
- Equip any weapon via Spell Wheel VR including torches and shields.
- Use shouts and powers while mounted.
- Use spells with both hands while mounted (Note that dual casting is not supported).
- Improved horse handling, speed and responsiveness with HMD turning .
- 2 early, low level mounted melee weapons that have huge range (iron and steel glaives) available at the 5 Major Stables. More materials will be added with an addon.
- Use of magic staffs in both hands when mounted.
- VRIK holsters while mounted (Requires VRIK version 0.8.2 or later).
- The ability to heal your horse whilst riding it
- Summon creatures whilst mounted.
- Mounted bound weapons in both hands.
- Power attacks and shield bashing.
- Compatible with Weapon Throw VR, Spell Wheel VR, Spellsiphon and Conduit.
- Improved mount and dismount speed.
- Horses rag doll NPC actors if they are rear ended by them.
- Ability to use equipped map and compass whilst mounted.
- Bows and crossbows automatically reload (arrow in your off hand).
- Horse kicks damage and ragdoll enemies when jumping into them at speed (and rear ended).
- Jump casting from horseback.
- Use of dagger of travel and whirlwind sprint while mounted
- If you liked the custom shout implementation and want to use it on foot as well, you can unmap your original shout button and use this mod's implementation by setting EnableShoutingOnFootAsWell to 1 from the included config file. Check config section for details.
Requirements:

- Glaive Danger - Not required, but recommended. Adds glaives to the game. By Pieter82.
Recommended Settings:
- Spell Wheel VR MCM->Types page: Enable Dismount Orb for either hand wheel. This will prevent accidental dismount while trying to loot. Use Dismount orb to dismount instead (Added in Spell Wheel VR 1.4.5).
Install Guide:
1. Install the latest Nemesis Behaviour engine - Follow the above video to make sure that you have installed this program correctly.
2. Install the new Spell Wheel VR update by Shizof (1.4.2+).
3. Install Skyrim VR Tools if you don't have it. Required by Spell Wheel VR.
4. Install Instant Equip VR
5. Update Weapon Throw VR to (1.3.7+) and Haptic Skyrim VR to (1.7.3+) if you use these mods. (Recommended)
6. Install STEEDS OF ULTIMA VR like you would any other MOD with your mod manager.
7. Temporarily turn off your Windows live protection for nemesis generation, or create a Windows firewall exception (Recommended).
8. Run Nemesis - Update the engine.
9. Tick Steeds of Ultima and make sure Steeds of ultima is the last mod to be ticked in the nemesis checkbox.
10. Run Nemesis Engine and wait for it to reach 100%
11. Run Skyrim VR with SKSE and enjoy!

Updating/Current Nemesis users
If you already have nemesis installed, you should delete the contents of your Nemesis_Engine\cache folder and re-run nemesis, before you have in stalled S.O.U.
This should be done on every new nemesis run/update.
Load order and Compatibility:
The load order of SteedsOfUltimaVR.esp plugin should not matter.
If another mod uses a Horsebehaviour.hkx or 0_Master.hkx, Make sure they do not overwrite you Nemesis output.
.Most likely not compatible with Immersive Horses and Convenient Horses. There are may overlapping features. Also these are script heavy and not suited to Skyrim VR.
.Make sure Be Seated has its relevant horse settings configured in its mcm.
SKSE config file and settings:
You can find SteedsOfUltimaVR.ini file next to the dll in SKSE\Plugins folder.
Important settings:
MountedActivationDistance: This will dynamically change fActivatePickLength setting while mounted to this value.
MountedActivationRadius: This will dynamically change fActivatePickRadius setting while mounted to this value.
EnableMountedKick: You can enable or disable Horse kick while mounted with jump button. Mounted kick only works while the player is in combat.
MountedKickDamage: You can set the damage amount of Mounted Horse kick. Default is 35.
This mod includes custom shouting system while mounted (and while on foot if you choose). By default it uses your original shout button. You can change this and use any hand's any button or button combination for activating shouts. Check the comments for details. Button codes can be found in the ini file.

Q&A
Q. How was this made?
A. There are 2 core components to this mod. The behaviour file edits and the SKSE. The behaviour file edits fix the horse standing bug and introduce animated casting in the main hand whilst mounted. The SKSE is responsible for the off hand magic casting, Mounted shouting, horse kick ragdoll and many other key functions.
Q. Why did it take so long.
A. The main behaviour file used for the behaviour edits, was a heavily edited and modified behaviour file from Zcbe... This needed to be cleaned/culled/tested and modified to work with VR. Also, Everything in the SKSE that Shizof built is being called manually... i cannot even begin to explain the complexity and time that went into both the SKSE and the behaviour edits.
Q. Who made the mounted weapons?
A. Our master at Arms, Pieter82. He crafted these from scratch and has plans for a separate mounted weapons mod on top of the weapons you see in the promo.
Q. This mod wont work on my build.
A. Please, please, please stop using your nemesis overwrite as your dedicated output.. don't ask for help if you aren't using the install guide that was approved by the nemesis creator.
Q. I have some suggestions...
A. We were very vocal about both creating this mod, testing and community feedback. The hardest part about the early stages of this mods inception was convincing people to try it and give feedback. This has taken up 6 months of solid time and we would like to let this Sit in the wild for a while, without any changes.
Q. There is no NPC mounted combat...
A. This is someone else's project and not something sou was focusing on at all.
SOU has opened the possibility for allot of new ideas and concepts. If someone wanted to build an SKSE for npc mounted combat... they would have our full support.
Q. Will this work for SSE?
A. Short answer no, long answer sort of. You can isolate the skse removing the vr behaviour edits. I don't own or test see and support won't be given. You have permission to port what you need provided you let Shizof know too.
Other Horse Related/Recommended:
Weapon Throw VR: It's a great way to use melee weapons for ranged combat while on horse as well. 1.3.7+ versions are compatible with Steeds.
Witcher Horse Expansion: Great horse textures.
Haptic Skyrim VR: Provides haptic feedback for controllers. If you are using it, get 1.7.3+ version.
bHaptics Tactsuit VR: Provides haptic feedback for bHaptics Haptic Equipment. If you are using it, get 2.1.0+ version.
Glaive Danger: Glaive weapons expansion, adding an additional 10 glaives.
