This is a mesh, 2k Talos texture (still looks pretty bad you can try a better Talos upscale, but I think the starting texture was bad, so they all look bad. I AI upscaled to 4k, then downsized it to 2k and ran a bokeh blur to smooth off the pixels) and a parallax height map. No need to add the normal map I made, as it is too shiny and the one that is in the BSA works fine. As with all parallax, this is not without some jank, but it looks better this way. All the little bumps actually bump. People pay a lot for filers to get cheeks this full.
Far superior version in 2.0. Still has the meshes, but I have increased the parallax file to be 4k. Recommended to get the HD Reworked Talos up to 8K at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com). This is based on the normal map from that mod, and it looks great in 8k, with 4k normals, and 4k 16 bit heigh map. Everything about it is better than before. All of the circles are bumped out convincingly, and the jank is mostly gone. Check out the robes on the back of Talos. Even I don't know how I did it. Remaining jankiness is caused by low poly mesh. Tip of the nose is too pointy and the parallax tries to round it. Statue is missin part of big toe on left foot, and the parallax tries to recreate it. Snake does not have horns above eyes like a Chinese dragon, but the parallax tries to make some. Turn o No Clip and spin around this in VR to really appreciate it.
NEW MOD: Instead of parallaxing the statue, just draw it in with actual geometry. Get the reasonable version.
