Special Edition Creation kit loves to crash! You cannot copy paste full bookshelves anymore without crashing. The mod took about a week to make I made it for myself but, it's made I may as well share it with anyone who might want something similar. Coming back to Skyrim special edition has been a lot of fun, unfortunately I could not keep myself out of the creation kit for long. I love Hearthfire, I do, unfortunately a person is required to choose between 3 rather important rooms for the east wing. Worse yet building a library wing does not even guarantee you enough shelves to hold all the books in the game. I am absolutely sick of not having enough book storage in my home. There are 503 books in skyrim total, 97 journals, and 120 letters, and nothing, not even the majority of mods I've seen come close to housing all of the books in the Hearthfire homes (unless you include those big underground palaces). Rant over.
The mod contains enough shelving space for 572 books, gives you 3 large, 3 small trophy bases, and 2 large planters with 8 soils total, because seriously, who doesn't sit there and think... but should I have built the trophy room? But I REALLY like the decks though! What about a tower though? You get a bit of everything here and you'll get enough bookshelves to hold your books and even some books you might get from mods there's 69 spare spaces for books, not planned, it just happened that way. All the bookshelves and everything else works, no not working bookshelves! Enjoy!
INSTALL
1) Download with mod manager tool or extract to your data folder.
2) Build storage room (it has to be the storage room wing). Build only the "Exterior" things form the storage room workbench, nothing else.
3) Disable that workbench and have fun!
4) If you already built things you can reset your house by saving in Whiterun or something, disabling Hearthfire with mod manager, loading Whiterun game, saving, enabling Hearthfire again, reloading, and starting the Hearthfire experience again! (I would really not suggest disabling everything unless you're completely sure you know what the mod adds in the room but that's your choice make sure you save before hand!)
COMPATIBILITY
As far as I can tell I have yet to actually find a mod that changes the interior that is not compatible... I use the following mods for my Lakeview experience along with this one.
Sherzies Kitchen - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65973/
Lakeview Armory Remodel - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37345/?
Hearthfire Attics - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32557/?
Some Privacy Please! - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32563/?
Hearthfire Extended - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8450/?
Lakeview Extended - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6363/?
Some of these are not SSE yet but don't worry they all work perfectly fine.
QUESTIONS I MIGHT BE ASKED (These sound stupid I know, but I doubt I'll reply much. I just want to make sure people get help for w/e could be asked, you're all brilliant in my books, what a pun!!)
Q. Will there be a Windstad or Hjelmarchuwer23 one?
A. I doubt I'll make one personally, copy pasting bookshelves does not like to work well with special edition CK. They are already a hassle as is let alone in a BYOH nightmare. That being said if anyone wants to use this mod and copy paste or work from scratch in the other two homes, go for it!
Q. Wait so I can edit, change, release a mod using this very mod? Do I have to credit?
Yes, yes, yes, please :D. This is just a mod I did in my free time for myself, I'm sharing it with you all. I didn't make the creation kit or anything involved with it. The real credit goes to Bethesda for such a wonderful game a lack of bookshelves and creativity in Hearthfire! I kid, but seriously, if you want to edit or mod it yourself I encourage it! Without modders we'd not enjoy Skyrim the way we do!
Q. Navmeshed and NPC interaction idle markers?
A. Yes, and yes. Seriously navmeshing is so important for immersion! There is no room small enough.
Q. I see the Bookshelf pop up but I cannot open the menu when I activate it, what is happening here?
A. This happens if you installed the mod and loaded a game inside of the manor. Just exit the house, and walk right back in and it will work fine!
Q. Which activator does which shelf? Where do I activate to fill shelf X?
A. The bottom of each shelf places books just above it.
Q. About your other mods...
A. I don't have the time, they were large scale projects too big for me to take on alone. Same thing applies if you want to take them and make changes/edit/release changes to them I encourage it!
Q. Why do I have stuff all over the place?
A. You probably already had the storage room and everything built inside of it... Boy you have a task ahead of you! Refer to #4 of installation heading. The only things you should build is the Exterior of the interior storage room work bench.
I can't think of anything else I'd be asked. Enjoy to all you gamers who love building their home and use Sherzie's kitchen so they can have a choice between armory and library! I know you're out there so don't lie to me!
