Love D-Won's Maximum Destruction mod but find the constant explosions of your fallen enemies to be a bit much?
This simple patch provides modified scripts which retain all other visual effects and elements of Maximum Destruction, but removes the violent explosion that normally follows the death of an enemy by magic.
If you want to allow certain enemy types to continue to explode on death, you can use your mod manager to hide the relevant .pex file for that enemy type. For example, if you want humanoids to explode, you can hide just the md_deatheffectshumanoidmagicscript.pex file in this patch. Doing so allows Maximum Destruction's original version of this script to take over, which includes the corpse explosion function.
Load this patch after Maximum Destruction.
NOTE: Be sure to download the correct file for your version of Maximum Destruction; the "ML Edition" uses slightly different scripts.
Thanks again to Dwon410 for permission to provide these scripts!
