About this mod

Marked for death was changed by Bethesda in a previous patch, and the new version no longer does damage over time. This mod seeks to recreate (as closely as I am able) the vanilla shout. It changes the damage back to a DoT that matches the stats of the vanilla shout.

Version: Fixed (1.0)
File Name: MarkedForDeath-DoT.esp
Description: Marked for death was changed by Bethesda in a previous patch, and the new version no longer does damage over time. This mod seeks to recreate (as closely as I am able) the vanilla shout. It changes the damage back to a DoT.
One word:
Damages 1 hp per second for 60 seconds and reduces target armor by 25.
Two words:
Damages 2 hp per second for 60 seconds and reduces target armor by 50.
Three words:
Damages 3hp per second for 60 seconds and reduces target armor by 75.

Version: Reduced DoT (1.0)
File Name: MarkedForDeath-Fixed-ReducedDoT.esp
For those who think the vanilla shout is significantly overpowered, I've created a version that does roughly half the damage over time.
DOT significantly reduced.
0.5/second at stage 1
1.0/second at stage 2
1.5/second at stage 3
Armor reduction has remained the same at: 25/50/75.

Version: Redux (1.0)
File Name: MarkedForDeath-Redux.esp
This version is not a recreation of the vanilla shout. Rather it is my own interpretation of what a shout called "Marked for Death" should actually do. There is slight damage over  time, but mostly it softens the target and reduces their magic and poison resistance for one minute. It isn't radically different from the vanilla shout  - it just does less damage and makes the target squishier.

DoT: 0.50/0.75/1.25
Armor Reduction: 50/75/100
Weakness to Magic and Poison: 30/60/90

Notes:
The armor is set to be restored after the shout ends. This is to address the bug from the Shadow Rend quest. I haven't ever experienced this bug, I've only heard about it, so I can't test it to ensure the player doesn't experience the permanent armor debuff. As such, use at your own risk. If users are struggling with a permanent debuff, I will endeavor to create and add a heal armor spell. (I don't really want to do that if I don't have to.)
