Version 5.5
- Added "Unknown 2" flag to MSTT-DATA. Talked with Sheson about this and it is needed. "DATA - Flags Unknown 2 means it is not a valid large reference anymore." (Sheson's words) Hopefully this will fix the rare CTD's with this mod.
- Recalculated Object Bounds with CK. Therefor the plugin needed to be ESMYfied again. This was done with "Persistentify Those Plugins".
- Replaced all PNG screenshots with JPG screenshots files for Fomod. To reduce complete filesize for download.
-
Version 5.4
- Added patch for Vanaheimr - Ice.
-
Version 5.3
- Recalculated Object Bounds in plugin (Static Unbobbed one).
- Added "gurgle" sound along with "cracking" sound.
- Audio files converted from "wav" to "xwm". Wav files can be a cause of CDT so i converted them for the safeside.
- Reordered all blocks in all the meshes with Nifscope.
- Added new Seasons of Skyrim Patch. Created by Fallven.
-
Version 5.2
- From now on only Dynamic Meshes supported. The Default Meshes are still available and you can find them as optional download. "Default Meshes Pack" is not supported anymore.
- Checked every single dynamic mesh and compared them to the original counterparts. If they are using the same colors, textures, structures, etc. Now all dynamic meshes are 100% identical to their static counterpart. Except for the bobbing part ofcourse.
- Ingame i checked every mesh option firmly and went to the spots people reported CTD's. I did not have one single CDT with any mesh option.
-
Version 5.1
- Added patches for the mod Tomato's Ice. Default and Dynamic meshes.
-
Version 5.0
- Compared and adjusted the "Skyrim Remastered - Glaciers and Ice" meshes so they match 100%. It's been done with "Default" and "Dynamic" versions.
- ESMYfied the plugin with the script "Persistentify Those Plugins".
- Added the flag "Has Distant LOD" to _WTRIceFloesSolid01_Anim and _WTRIceFloesSolid02_Anim. I noticed that when having generated DynDOLOD, DynDOLOD adds those flags to DynDOLOD.esp.
- Backported Extended ESL Support (BEES) now required when using 1.5.97 version of Skyrim.
-
Version 4.9
- Added patch for the mod Ethqnm's Ice Thing. Vanilla and Dynamic collision.
-
Version 4.8
- Recalculated Object Bounds in plugin.
- Runned all meshes through Nif Optimizer.
- Rerunning DynDOLOD required or forward the Object Bounds from Animated Ice Floes.esp to DynDOLOD.esp.
- Hope this fixes CTD's some people reported. Though i never had those CDT's
-
Version 4.7
- Removed DynDOLOD Rules. They are totally not needed and DynDOLOD gave warnings about it.
- "<Warning: Lod Model contains Controller Block"
- This was the warning DynDOLOD reported. It was caused by the ini's so they had to be removed.
-
Version 4.6
- Removed DynDOLOD patch. It is not needed anymore since last DynDOLOD updates.
- Fixed typo's in Seasons of Skyrim patch.
-
Version 4.5
- Added patches for Northern Ice.
-
Version 4.4
- Forgot to add the "slush" part to the meshes from RIS - Real Ice and Snow. Now corrected.
- FOMOD structure changed a bit so that the vanilla meshes will be "always reguired". This is because not all ice mods use all nine meshes Animated Ice Floes has to offer. So when a patch is chosen FOMOD, those meshes will overwrite the vanilla ones but keeping the vanilla ones that the ice mod of your choosing does not have. Mostly the DLC1 meshes.
-
Version 4.3
- Added patches for RIS - Real Ice and Snow.
-
Version 4.2
- Added patch to have all Ice floes flagged as "has distant lod". Dyndolod itself only does it with two floes. This way, all floes will have full model lod with new dyndolod rules. This patch requires to be activated when running DynDOLOD and stayed activated. Just lik a normal plugin. Purely optional to use. Not necessarily needed.
- Added correct Seasons of Skyrim ini's. Should work as intended now. Fully tested by LeviRedscale.
-
Version 4.1
- So sorry for yet another update. but this one will fix the missing icefloes some users have. And yes. Running DynDOLOD is required for new update.
- Renamed "Static" to "Default" in FOMOD to avoid confusion. Yes. Both Default and Dynamic options do animate. Dynamic option will have Player Character and NPC's bob along with icefloes.
- Added DynDOLOD rules for both Default and Dynamic options.
- Removed all "lod" meshes. Now with new DynDOLOD rules the models will be fully generated as lods instead of using custom lods. This will fix the missing ice floes some of users had. Choose High, Medium or Low preset with DynDOLOd and run DynDOLOD as you normally would do.
- Removed "Animated Ice Floes - DynDOLOD Fix.esp" because it is obsolete now.
-
Version 4.0
- Runned all meshes with "Full Optimization" option flagged through Cathedral Assets Optimizer. Just to be sure. Better safe then sorry.
-
Version 3.9
- All options now All in One package. Including choice of Static and Dynamic version.
- All patches now included in the package.
- Read instructions carefully in FOMOD.
-
Version 3.8
- Removed all the "Placed Object" with "IceFloesSolid01" which were flagged "Visable When Distant" in the worldspace records. It was in the plugin as we thought this resolved the disappearing floes. Now we know it was the meshes that caused that all along. So worldspace record edits now at minimum. Only four edits left which are needed.
- Created a new "Static" record tagged as "IceFloesSolid01_Unbobbed". With this new record all CELL records replaces "IcefloesSolid01" to "IceFloesSolid01_Unbobbed". These floes are in interior cells and does not make real sense these floes bob.
- Reversed "Version 2.1" cause no need to disable this floe anymore now we know what the cause is.
- "Version 2.1"
"Fixed the one floe in particular reported by Agnusthemagi who showed an image of that one being invisable.
We tried different things but for some reason unknown it stayed invisable. When we did get it to show it had much clipping issues with the shores.
So we simply disabled that particular floe (ref ID: 0009c9c8) to have PC/NPC's not floating anymore." - Tested new plugin and new meshes with fully generated DynDOLOD and as far as i can tell no disappearing floes anymore.
- Both Default and Dynamic versions of the mod have the new plugin.
- Ofcourse, DynDOLOD is required to generate again for best results. Sorry about this.
-
Version 3.7
- Redone all meshes and reordered the structure of all meshes. In hopes of finally resolving disappearing ice floes. To much has been done to explain in detail.
- Removed "Glacierslab SSE 4.2.2.5 B-Bumpy-Chiseled Patch" cause, well for reasons.
- From now on only the main file of Glacierslab SSE will be supported.
- 3.7 Dynamic Experimental. Added complete Animated Ice Floes just like new 3.7 version with all mesh fixes but now with Dynamic support. It is in experimental phase so feel free to fiddle around with meshes and maybe someone will come with solution to have the animation less stuttery. It also contains an ini file with tweaks related to "Inverse Kinematics"
-
Version 3.6
- Added patch for Skyrim Remastered - Unreal Ice.
-
Version 3.5
- Fixed every animated mesh so that they use the same values and assets of their static counterparts.
- Added Animated Ice Floes - Skyrim Remastered - Glaciers and Ice Patch.
- Added Glacierslab SSE 5.0 Patch.
- Rearranged the Fomod.
-
Version 3.4
- Added Glacierslab SSE Patch back.
-
Version 3.3
- Esmyfied main plugin.
-
Version 3.2
- Added "Animated" flag to frozenmarshicefloechunks02_anim.nif to IRM's Fantasy and Consistency patches which i forgot in previous update.
-
Version 3.1
- Replaced the frozenmarshicefloechunks01_anim.nif, frozenmarshicefloechunks02_anim.nif and frozenmarshicefloechunks03_anim.nif with High Poly meshes with correct "Soft Lightin" flag added and removed the "Back Lightin" flag from the IMR Consistency patch.
-
Version 3.0
- Due to the time consuming maintenance, we desided to only have High Poly meshes for Icy Mesh Remaster mod. Available for Consistency and Fantasy. Also removed "More Movement" options for same reason.
- Removed GlaciersLab SSE patch cause mod is set to hidden. So for the time being not supported.
- Improved the collision for icefloes01_anim.nif, icefloessolid01_anim.nif and icefloessolid02_anim.nif. So player charachter and NPC's won't have stuttering.
- Also added the correct "Ice" footstep sound to these meshes.
- Added correct textures to LOD meshes. They are now using "GlacierSlabLOD.dds" and "GlacierSlabLOD_n.dds".
- Animated Floes are not "Activators" anymore. Now they are "Movable Statics".
- Adjusted FOMOD accordingly.
-
Version 2.9
- Repositioned one particular icefloe to avoid clipping with beach. 000f45b7
-
Version 2.8
- Forwarded 2 USSEP changes which we just simply forgot.
-
Version 2.7
- Added lod's for DynDOLOD.
-
Version 2.6
- Fixed all missing floes by editing Icefloes in WorldSpace Records and disable "Visable when Distant. That caused the missing and invisable floes.
- Removed Static Records cause no longer needed. So IMR IceLOD Patch is also not needed anymore.
- Added "Random Anim Start" to all Activators.
- Mod now uses only one Sound Category and Descriptor Record. So now settings has only one volume slider and this is renamed to Animated Ice Floes.
- Mod now an All in One so Animated Ice Floes - Dawnguard and Animated Ice Floes - Marsh Floes Addon are not meeded anymore. They have beem corporated into the main plugin now.
-
Version 2.5
- Due to a typo in SWAP.ini a mesh did not work correctly. BOS log showed this. Now fixed. Also fixed a typo in plugin.
-
Version 2.4
- Reworked all main plugin to have Activator records to do the bobbing and have cracking sound at the same time. Using Moveable Static could cause some invisable floes for some reason and using only Static records can not have and bobbing floes and cracking sound at the same time. Hence the Activator records.
- But just in case we added the Static records, IceFloesSolid01, IceFloesSolid02 and IceFloes01 to the main plugin and changed the model nifs to Anim. This to make sure none floes were skipped.
- Recalculated Object Bounds for all plugins.
- Added patch for Icy Mesh Remaster's IceLOD.esl plugin to forward assets from that.
- All these changes fixed the Dayspring Canyon Icefloes floating or being invisable as example.
-
Version 2.3
- Fixed Glacierslab SSE meshes to CTD. With help from Rudy102.
-
Version 2.2
- Added support for Glacierslab SSE. Realistic and More Movement options.
-
Version 2.1
- "Fixed" the one floe in particular reported by Agnusthemagi who showed an image of that one being invisable. We tried different things but for some reason unknown it stayed invisable. When we did get it to show it had much clipping issues with the shores. So we simply disabled that particular floe (ref ID: 0009c9c8) to have PC/NPC's not floating anymore.
-
Version 2.0
- Fixed the meshes that supposedly still cause some invisable floes by adding "Vertex Alpha" to the icefloessolid02_anim.nif from all options. Thanks to aryel209 for the heads up.
-
Version 1.9
- Removed one Moveable Static record to Static. This fixed an issue with some floes vanishing reported.
-
Version 1.8
- Gave "Animated Ice Floes - Marsh Floes Addon" it's own volume slider instead of a duplicated one.
- Fixed another floating icechunk in Dayspring Canyon.
- Added Legacy of the Dragonborn patch to FOMOD.
- Added Dawnguard Addon with it's own volume slider.
- Added IMR meshes for Dawnguard Addon.
- Dawnguard and Marsh Floes Addons will only use the "chunks" meshes. These are the loose floating ones.
- Dawnguard and Marsh Floes Addons will not use floes that are attached to landscapes. These will remain static.
-
Version 1.7
- Ninja Legacy of the Dragonborn Patch. This will be incorporated in FOMOD the next bigger update. Fixes ice crackling sound that can be heard in LotD museum.
- Reworked the "realistic" meshes to have them more noticeable bobbing.and yet very subtle.
- Added Marsh Floes Addon with its own meshes and SWAP ini.
- Added patches for Icy Mesh Remaster.
- Reworked FOMOD structure.
-
Version 1.6
- Fixed error reported by LOOT and SSEEdit. Forgot to compact Marsh Floes Add-On first before flagging as ESL. Now fixed.
-
Version 1.5
- Marsh Floes Add-On added.
- De-Flagged main plugin to ESL.

CHECK MY OTHER FILES FOR SKYRIM SPECIAL EDITION!!
Animated Ice Floes - Dynamic
Ice floes are bobbing now. Using assets from Isoku's Realistic Water Two Legendary Edition.
Ofcourse, i have permission to use them. But credits to him for making these assets a long time ago.
Plugin is esl flagged and does not require Realistic Water to work. Mod is standalone and compatible with everything.
Just install with favorite mod manager. Meshes will use the textures from ice mods you use. Mod also comes with it's own "cracking" sound FX and volume slider for it can be found in "settings" menu.
Thats it and nothing more.
Thank you Capt. Panda for your amazing Showcase on this mod!!
Highly recommended mod to use alongside this is Icy Mesh Remaster.
I highly recommend to check this mod out. Animated Ice Floes - LOD Textures Patch.
And ofcourse.... the USSEP for Waterfalls..... Natural Waterfalls.
Enjoy!!!

Make absolutely sure that you have the latest versions of these two mods installed in order to have Animated Ice Floes work correctly!
