Version 1.1:
- Town is now radiant quest ready
- When exiting any of the interiors, the door should now show the name of the town (Overstead) in stead of the generic 'Skyrim'
- Fixed two deleted navmesh
- Blacksmith and shop are now also invest ready

This is another town mod I created with the idea that the town must feel like it's originally part of Skyrim. So no fancy stuff here. This by no means mean that it's not an interesting town. It has some unique features. And since Winterhold has so little action in terms of population, I added this town to that hold. It's a little town that was build around the Corundum mine.

If you like the mod, then please endorse so we can spread the happiness!

(Thanks for the beautiful video)

Requirements

Just the latest Skyrim SE

Features

A full living breathing town, where the NPC's have their own life's.

* There is an inn. Here you can rent a room, or get bounty quests from the innkeeper.
* There is a blacksmith in town, but because he mostly services the mine tools, he has set up shop in the mine itself. So that's where you will find him.
* There is a 'Miscellanous' merchant in town. His shop is outside even if the weather is really bad. He tries to be a true Nord.
* The town guards that changes with the war factions.
* There is also a sad past to the town, being supporters of the Stormcloaks (since they are so close to Windhelm) and you will find the graves and destroyed house showing a glimps of that.
* A (sort of hidden) Talos shrine.

Compatibility

Runs with anything except something that might be placed in the same space.

Anything that delete the guard spawns at Whistling Mine will influence the guards at Overstead.

Installation

Automatic  Download with NMM
- Click the Download with manager button on top of the file.
- Overstead will appear in the NMM's Mods list once it's downloaded. Double-click the Overstead entry to Activate it.

OR

Manual Download with NMM
- Start NMM and click on Mods.
- In the left icon bar, click on Add Mod rom File and select the downloaded archive file.
- Overstead will now appear in the list. Double-click to Activate it.

OR

Manual Installation
- Locate the Data/ folder in your Skyrim installation directory. Typically it's found at Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/Data/.
- Extract the contents of the downloaded archive file to your Data/ folder. Make sure the 'Meshes" folder goes into the 'Meshes' folder in your Skyrim Data folder. The same for the 'Textures' folder.
- In the Skyrim Launcher, select Data Files and enable 'Overstead.esp'

Uninstallation

If for some strange reason you want to get rid of the mod, just delete the Overstead.esp file from your Data folder, as well as the two folders located at:
Data/Meshes/Actors/Character/FaceGenData/FaceGeom/Overstead.esp
Data/Textures/Actors/Character/FaceGenData/FaceTint/Overstead.esp

Just make sure you are far away from the town when doing so, and not...say inside in one of the buildings in town. That's the same as deleting your safe file.

Known Issues

Let me know if you find any.

There is a spawn location in town, that usually I would just move, but this one seems to be connected to something else, maybe even a quest, so I decided to leave it as is. This only means that when arriving in town, anything can spawn in town. Be aware of it.

Notes

Always save and backup your save files before trying out new mods!

I didn't add any scripts, so the file should be safe. I did make adjustments to the terrain and navmesh. I didn't change the vanilla navmesh, just moved it out of the way, and handmade my own new navmesh for affected areas.

Most of the NPC's are essential, so they won't die. That's just the way I like to do it.

There are currently no quests from this town other than the bounty quests. Its just a town as any other in the game.
