There is also a new "Style 18" hairstyle (obtainable through Racemenu), which is the same as 17 but with no ponytail, so that when the wig is unequipped for any reason, you don't appear to radically alter hairstyle without the issue of a non-physics enabled ponytail. I tried to make it look like the ponytail was fitted within the bun.
FOR LARGER BODIES: Use Outfit Studio and Bodyslide to conform the collision shape to your body (or roughly the shape of the armor you wear most often, if it's something exaggerated with many moving parts, otherwise you'll still have clipping.
Azar17 has been my personal favourite go-to hairstyle since I first played Skyrim, and then again on Fallout4, as it is one of the few long hair styles that looks nice enough on male characters. I refitted the hair a very long time ago, in Skyrim LE, using a low poly head that I had previously smashed in with Racemenu to make it fit, so the backside won't be perfect. But for some reason, whenever I try refitting it again from scratch, I get very ugly issues with the hairline that I cannot explain, and so cannot fix.
I made this mod for myself more than one or maybe two years ago. As such, there are meshes that I made invisible because they come from a separate hairstyle. The textures aren't in the same style as the base, so I didn't want to include them. I didn't want to delete them either to avoid creating issues with the physics, after spending so long to make it right, so as a middle ground I added the invisible flag to them. Enabling them is largely pointless, as you'd need the correct textures, which aren't included in this mod.
To more easily achieve the white-gray effect in the screenshots, I suggest manually opening the diffuse textures in paint.net and turning them to grayscale.
Requires the original Azar Hair mod for the textures and .esm dependency. It's a LE mod that AFAIK has never been ported, but it can be used with no issues. It can also be very easily ported using CAO to process assets, xEdit to remove the esm flag, and the CK to resave it and again xEdit to esmify it again. Can also be ESLified. If you're not familiar with what I've just said, I will include a misc file with a ported and esm, but you will still need to download the original file for all the other hair to work correctly (and most importantly, for the textures).
