How to get note and crystal from courier now?
Just make sure you have at least 50 displays in museum, then after you move between workspaces/see loading screen after 24h, courier will approach you.
Can I change default value to something other than 50?
Yes. From version 1.1.0 you can use console (~) command:
set lotd_hof_d to XXXWhere XXX is value you want.
Do I need a new game?
Yes. This patch prevents the quest from starting automatically. If you have already started the game, the quest is already running.
