Whether you're looking for a bit of catharsis or a way to put that new
combat overhaul to the test, Horde Mode has got you covered.
Choose the map of your liking and your personal flavour of fodder before
going to town on any enemies unfortunate enough to get in your way.
Of course, nothing lasts forever... but if you're going to go down,
make sure you do it with style. And take as many of them with you.
Before you come right back, of course... and do it all again.
Installation
Drop it in your Data folder or install with a mod manager as usual.
Once that's done, all you need to do is equip the Strange Core
in your inventory to proceed.
Compatibility
Horde Mode is compatible with all gameplay mods and overhauls!
This changes nothing in terms of mechanics, think of it as a stage
to pull all that to the test. Or just see how long you survive.
Please note, however, that your mileage may differ
based on other mods' changes to difficulty settings,
AI aggression, etc. Horde Mode works in tandem.
Feel free to tailor things to your liking, such as the gradually
increasing timer for spawns - HM_Counter, default of 0.1 -
or the starting amount of enemies - HM_KillCount, default
of 5 - with console commands.
There are no worldspace edits, meaning Horde Mode will be compatible
with everything. The Core item can be used anywhere, anytime and
it'll take you right back to where you were.
