Eclipse Mage Outfit HDT-SMP adds a very fascinating outfit to the game, alongside a mace, a shield and a staff, everything a battlemage really needs.
So, to help everything fit into the game, I thought to share my tweaks:

  • aligned staves with the vanilla staves and CC Staves:
- added unenchanted version with the same value and naming convention as the vanilla staves (Unenchanted Eclipse Staff), craftable at the smithing forge with the Steel Smithing perk, like the armor pieces
- renamed enchanted staves following the vanilla naming convention (Eclipse Staff of Fireballs, Eclipse Staff of Ice Storms, Eclipse Staff of Chain Lightning)
- moved enchanted staves recipes from the smithing forge to the staff enchanter, with the same ingredients and requirements as their vanilla counterparts
  • removed recipes for the enchanted versions of robes, hood and cloak (they can be created at the enchanting table with the vanilla enchanting system)
  • balance tweaks:
- disabled the ability to enchant the armor pieces (i.e. shoulder pad, leg plate, arm plate), because they are additional pieces to equip alongside the enchantable clothing
- reduced the shield's weight and armor rating by half, because it's a light version of the vanilla Steel Shield and it's also the size of a buckler (value is the same, because it's a unique shield), reduced steel ingots required by 1 in its crafting recipe
- changed stats of the arm plate to the same as the leg plate, as is the case with most vanilla boots and gauntlets
- changed stats of the gloves to the same as the boots, changed the gloves' crafting recipe to be the same as well
- doubled the value of hood and cloak
  • added Survival Warm keyword to the robes, for convenience

The patch is flagged as ESPFE, so it doesn't take up a slot in your load order.
The file includes a FOMOD that allows you choose to increase values of the clothing pieces based on the vanilla Jarl's clothes (increased crafting ingredients' quantities by 1 for balance purposes), and/or turn the plates and pads into clothing for aesthetic purposes.
