"Ever encountered this scenario? After the guards valiantly battling bandits, or even fearsome dragons, only to dutifully return to their posts after the battle. But from that moment on, the wounds they suffered in the epic clash never heal. A single fatal blow awaits them, just one strike away from embracing their final fate."
But fear not, for this shall be no more. Now, every 'unsung hero' (General NPCs) regain the power to heal their wounds over time, just like those privileged 'protected' or 'essential' NPC. We are all living being, we are all equal.
Requirements
• Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID)
you will need SPID for this, otherwise it won't do anything itself.
Introduction
In the vanilla game, the game engine strips away the natural health regeneration ability from general NPCs, even though their innate regeneration rate (defaulted at 0.7% per second) is a gift from their racial traits. This results in those general NPCs never heal from any wounds, just stupidly wait for their end come.
This mod fixed this through an ESPFE and the ingenious SPID by give those NPC 0.7% healrate. A single, uncomplicated spell effect is endowed upon each NPC via SPID, but it is exclusive to those who aren't marked as 'protected' or 'essential', as these NPCs already possess inherent self-healing capabilities, I ensuring they receive no more advantage.
By the way, in vanilla, as NPCs lack the 'combat health regeneration' coefficient, excluding the player, when they in battle, no one should possess the passive ability to automatically regain health. Unless the health regen rate this mod give is interacted with with other Mods(like some race overhaul that did the same thing)
Compatibility
Should be compatible with every, as it only add one spell to all NPC via SPID, you can also twitch the ini to your liking.
Q and A
ESL?
Yes, Sure.
Loadorder?
Should be Anywhere, just Plug and Play, this mod does not touch any Vanilla records.
Uninstall mid game?
Not recommended. As any mod add new staff to the game should not remove in mid game. If you don't want this mod anymore, just delete the SPID ini, and this mod will do nothing to the game. You can uninstall it when you start a new save.
Customize?
You can change the filter in GNHR_DISTR.ini, or change the healrate(0.7%) in xedit, this should be very easy as a noob like me can do it.
Other things
I pair this mod with Yield To Me - Tyrannic Bounty Hunter, as it allow you to knockdown and recruit(or...other actions) your enemy, this mod will let them heal up after combat.
I also recommend Andrealphus' Bleedout Revamp to renew the Skyrim bleed out system and pair with YTM. Yeah no more invincible "undead" NPC now.
All Glory to SPID and the modding community!
