About this video

I’m excited to share updates on a special project I’ve been working on to enhance Skyrim’s combat: Sanguine Symphony

This mod brings several new effects and features I’ve developed over time, including some highly requested ones! Sanguine Symphony is designed to work seamlessly with (and even complement) my other mods.

What Will Sanguine Symphony Offer?

1. A Complete Overhaul of the Impact System
A major update in Sanguine Symphony is the complete overhaul of the impact system, made possible by a new framework I specifically designed for this purpose: The Core Impact Framework (CIF). The visual effects of each strike are now dynamically tailored to the weapon type, armor worn by the target, and other factors. Whether you’re using a heavy two-handed weapon or a light, agile dagger, each blow will generate unique visual feedback, making every impact feel distinctive and true to the weapon and armor involved. Expect sharper and more immersive effects, with visual cues reflecting the force and style of each attack.

2. A Revamped Blood System
As mentioned before, this mod completely overhauls Skyrim's blood system. The new dynamic blood splatters react to the force and direction of each attack. Whether you're using melee or ranged weapons, you’ll notice realistic blood sprays, and the effects are fully compatible with any existing blood retexture mods you may already use.

3. Enhanced Lethal Strikes
Sanguine Symphony also amplifies the impact of your finishing blows. Upon delivering (or receiving) a fatal hit, an extra physical impulse is applied to the opponent's ragdoll, creating more dynamic and immersive combat scenes.

4. A Reimagined Slow-Time System
Finally, I’ve reworked the slow-time effect originally featured in the Dismembering Framework. This new system is fully customizable, optimized, and lag-free, perfect for players experiencing performance issues with Cinematic Kills. Alongside the slow-motion effect, you’ll also find fresh visual effects and subtle sounds, all of which can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

5. Sound Overhaul
A major update in Sanguine Symphony is the addition of a wide variety of new impact sounds. Nearly 80 new sounds have been carefully designed to reflect the specific interactions between different weapons, armor types, and impacts. These dynamic sound effects respond to the context of the hit, whether it's from a melee strike, arrow shot, or magic projectile, making combat feel more immersive and reactive.

6. High-Definition Textures
To further enhance the realism of combat, Sanguine Symphony now includes numerous high-definition textures tailored for different combat situations. These textures help bring to life the damage effects, adding detail to everything from blood splatter to impacts on enemies and weapons. The textures have been designed not only for standard NPCs but also for more specific creatures like insects and Dwemer automatons, ensuring that every hit feels visually satisfying.

7. MCM Menu for Easy Customization
Sanguine Symphony now features a fully integrated MCM menu, giving you control over a variety of mod settings. This makes it easy to adjust the impact effects, blood loss, slow-time settings, and more to match your preferences. The MCM is also compatible with the MCM Helper, offering a smooth experience for those who like to fine-tune every aspect of their mods. With this addition, personalizing your combat experience has never been easier.

8. Proportional Blood Loss System
In a bid for more realism, the amount of blood spilled in combat is now proportional to the health remaining in the target. This means that the more health an enemy has left, the less blood will be spilled, creating a more logical and immersive effect during fights.

9. Bug Fixes and Tweaks
Beyond the major additions, many small fixes and tweaks have been implemented to improve the overall experience. These include adjustments to combat physics, various bug fixes, and improved performance. These changes ensure smoother gameplay, reduced conflicts with other mods, and a more polished experience overall.

Ongoing Development and User Suggestions

This project is progressing well, and I’ll continue polishing it to ensure the best experience.

Nice job! Hope to see this soon on NexusMods. I already have hundreds of mods to integrate and change in my new CBM Guide, can't wait to integrate this gem in there. Continue this hard and good work!!!
