- Permissions and credits
After countless hours dodging anomalies and tweaking configs, I bring you my ultimate Engine.ini overhaul for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Built for Unreal Engine 5, this mod now comes in three flavors: the Core Optimizer Uluchaizer (no Lumen) for max speed, the Enhanced version (with Lumen) for richer visuals, and the new HyperEdition—a premium tweak for top-tier rigs that turns the Zone into a visual masterpiece.
What’s the Goal?
This mod squeezes every drop of performance and beauty from your system:
- Eliminate Stutters: Optimized CPU/GPU threading and streaming for a buttery-smooth Zone.
- Boost FPS: DLSS with Frame Generation hits 80-120 FPS (or 60+ in 4K on HyperEdition).
- Crystal-Clear Picture: Sharpness, maxed-out textures, and effects—no Film Grain or Chromatic Aberration to muddy the view.
- Low Input Latency: Minimal frame delays for snappy controls amid mutant mayhem.
- Flexible Visuals: Core skips Lumen for speed, Enhanced adds gloom, and HyperEdition unleashes full UE5 glory—pick your poison!
No glitches, no crashes—just pure post-apocalyptic perfection. It’s your trusty AK for the game engine: practical, innovative, and future-ready.
- Core Version (Optimizer Uluchaizer): Lumen off for raw speed, ideal for mid-range systems. Nanite, Niagara, and Virtual Shadows keep it next-gen.
- Enhanced Version: Optimized Lumen (low quality) for realistic lighting with a light performance hit—perfect for balanced rigs.
- HyperEdition: Crafted for beasts like Ryzen 7 7800X3D and RTX 4080 with 32GB RAM. Maxed shadows, enhanced Lumen, full VRAM usage, and 16-thread optimization for 1440p/4K glory with DLSS 3.
- Low-Spec Bonus (4GB VRAM): A stripped-down lifeline for budget rigs—stable FPS, decent visuals.
- Download your preferred Engine.ini (Core, Enhanced, HyperEdition, or Low-Spec) from this mod page.
- Replace the existing file in:
- Steam & GOG: %localappdata%\Stalker2\Saved\Config\Windows
- Game Pass: %localappdata%\Stalker2\Saved\Config\WinGDK
- Right-click Engine.ini → Properties → Check "Read-Only" → Apply/OK.
Delete the Engine.ini file. The game will spawn a default one faster than a Snork can lunge.
Compatibility
- DO NOT mix with other "optimization" mods—conflicts guaranteed.
- Works fine with texture, gameplay, or UI mods.
- Core Version: Lumen’s off—tweak r.DLSS.Quality (0=Performance, 1=Balanced, 2=Quality) for your GPU.
- Enhanced Version: Lumen’s on low—crank it to 2 or enable r.Lumen.HardwareRayTracing if you’ve got power to burn.
- HyperEdition: Built for 1440p/4K—use DLSS Quality (0) for 4K or DLAA (-1) for 1440p. Max out r.ShadowQuality and r.Lumen.Quality for eye candy.
- Low-Spec (4GB VRAM): Survival mode—keeps it light but playable.
- Performance: Async compute, smart shader tweaks, and efficient VRAM use keep your rig purring.
- Visuals: Max anisotropy, Niagara effects, and crisp materials make the Zone a stunner.
- Stability: No wild gambles—just solid UE5 tweaks that won’t let you down.
If this mod keeps you stalking longer (or saves you from stutter-induced rage), consider tossing a bolt my way on [insert link]. Check my other mods too—I’ve got more tricks than a Controller has mind games.
Final Note
This isn’t just an optimization—it’s a tribute to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s tech. Pick your flavor—Core for speed, Enhanced for mood, or HyperEdition for the ultimate Zone flex—and dive in like it’s 2025 (spoiler: it is). Good hunting, stalker!
