About this mod
Tired of killing dogs in games? This mod disables dogs attacking and sets them to walk speed so you can outrun them. Goal of the mod is so you don't have to kill dogs.
- Permissions and credits
Sets blindDogs and pseudoDogs to chase you at walk speed and disables their basic attacks, some attacks might still trigger but should deal zero damage. The compass in some cases will still highlight them as a threat. Since they can't defend themselves their HP and regen is boosted a lot to avoid random NPCs killing them if a random fight starts in the wild.
There are a couple alternate versions available to download:
- Old Yeller: Same as Friendly Dogs but dogs keep their low health, in case a quest locks progression until you kill all enemies and running away and back doesn't work.The most stable version to play with.
- No Mutant Random Encounters. Friendly Dogs but random encounter events were tweaked to not spawn mutants so all random fights in the zone should be shootouts, scripted encounters remain the same though. This was created per user request and I personally didn't test it at all besides booting up the game and walking around for a while.
Installation:
Paste the .pak file in your Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods to install (might need to create the ~mods folder if not there).
To uninstall simply remove the .pak file from the ~mods folder.
Compatibility:
Might be incompatible with other mods changing mutants stats, the core feature of the dogs being friendly should remain but their stats might be changed. Completely incompatible with mods changing relations.csv or ALifeScenarios.
Easy way to make sure this mod overwrites others is to rename the pak and prefix it with ZZZZ_ however if on doing there are unexpected issues, either merge the possibly conflicting mods yourself or leave a post and I'll see if I can help.
