Vision Update for 1.2:
GSC added some additional scoring variables with the 1.2 update. I merged them in so we can find out if they do anything.

Feb 3 - Note:
Now with the fixes for Physical Material Translucency that I released with this Stop NPCs X-Ray Vision and Other Collision Tweaks, I may need to revisit the changes here. It seems likely from testing that the Translucency issue was not only letting NPCs "see" through the map & textures but also "hear". So the current sensor & "radio" changes will likely need adjustment to prevent NPCs from appearing oblivious.
For now if you notice NPCs being unresponsive with both mods. Try removing the Vision/Hearing/Radio Interference paks to see how things play. Let me know if Vanilla Vision/Hearing are still over tuned with the Translucency fix on materials. If so I'll update the sensor mods accordingly.
Updated Radio Interference Pak!!!!
Limits friendly "Radio" Signal/Receiver Range
I'm not a fan of having everyone in a 95m radius coming to gang up on a single helpless Tushkan. Not to mention this is the zone, you're telling me anomalies don't cause interference? So I've adjusted how far they can receive signals so maybe only a few closer allies will come to each other's aid.
1.1.3.1
- ShotAppeared - "Radio" Signal - 175m / "Radio" Received - Humans 125m / Mutants 150m
- ShotHit - "Radio" Signal - 110m / "Radio" Received - Humans 85m / Mutants 100m
- GrenadeExploded - "Radio" Signal - 195m / "Radio" Received - Humans 150m / Mutants 175m
- GrenadeLaunched - "Radio" Signal - 85m / "Radio" Received - Humans 60m / Mutants 95m
- AnomalyActivated - "Radio" Signal - 105m / "Radio" Received - 85m / Mutants 95m
1.1.3
- ShotAppeared - "Radio" Signal - 80m / "Radio" Received - 75m
- ShotHit - "Radio" Signal - 55m / "Radio" Received - 37m
- GrenadeExploded - "Radio" Signal - 98m / "Radio" Received - 92m
- GrenadeLaunched - "Radio" Signal - 75m / "Radio" Received - 50m
- AnomalyActivated - "Radio" Signal - 55m / "Radio" Received - 37m
- I left mutants "Radio" Receivers over tuned to 89m
Okay so an update to Shay's Living Zone has been released. You can find the engine.ini changes here. The main changes are in the Recommended Engine.ini Additions - 2.0 zip. They help prevent NPCs from having X-Ray vision among other things. The Optional Garbage Collection/Streaming settings that are a bit experimental are in their own Optional Performance Add To Engine.ini - 2.0.1 zip. The new engine.ini changes in those files work fine with this mod as well.
Small update due to changes in 1.1.3 for future compatability. These are still tuned to keep their vision/hearing capped at 60-65m. Since the full render range is now hardcoded at 95m. Long range aggro probably isn't really a huge deal. However these might still help give you a bit of stealth opportunity.

There is a very good chance based on testing, that mod changes will not load the first time. They will instead be either ignored or load past mod changes if they affected the same cfg files.

This was mainly tested and tuned on Shay's Living Zone. However it should work with most if not all a-life mods that extend render/spawn area. Maklane's Better Gunfights & Better Zone are also compatible with these and NPC Combat Overhaul.

Added a recording from the latest hearing testing. Take a look in the video section of the mod!
There are now 3 new configs that were changed making the old changes obsolete. They perform the job a bit more consistently.
Warning!!!!
They need to be used together. If any other plugins alter these files you will need to skip them. Or make sure this mod's files load after. Merging will break their balance.

3. zzzzzz_ThreatNeededBalance
Oh Yeah! Almost forgot because of these changes you should be able to experience a bit of stealthing about at times. Though you may need my other mod NPC Combat Overhaul & De-Aggression for the losing the threat tag when out of sight for a time.

Okay this has been tuned to adjust hearing & vision sensors for npcs to act more realistic. Vision has been brought down to between 70-90m / Adjusted peripheral to what I believe should match from vanilla values.
Hearing has individual changes to things like the shot sound leaving your guns (60-70m). Bullets that hit has been increased to draw some attention. Flybys have been increased to draw attention with in short radius. Steps have been increased and their threat scores adjusted so they also draw attention with in a reasonable range of enemies. There are several other adjustments to make sounds reasonable, but I think you get the idea.
The threat config was adjusted to match up with the hearing/vison changes. So that threat levels don't build too quickly there will likely be a few tuning adjustments to this yet as well as others.
(Sprint/Run are modifiers in AIGlobals.cfg most A-Life mods if not all edit. Vanilla is too quiet. A-Life Modders feel free to DM in the Discord channel on GAMMA Stalker if need some advice on adjustments).
There is a chance if Human NPCs are fighting other Human NPC they might switch aggression to you if they can see you in the same line of fire. I do not have a solution for this. There may not be a good one. My other mod helps with de-aggression when breaking line of sight.
