About this mod
A *Fake* Free-Aim effect created with ReShade. It's not perfect, but it is kind of fun for a minute. Use at your own risk.

"Free-Aim" means that your point of aim will no longer be locked to the center of your screen.
Watch the demo:
V2 now uses a custom shader to accomplish the effect (thanks Google AI Studio 😉). You'll need your FOV cranked up for this to look right (use Flawless Widescreen). That's why the "Perfect Perspective" shader is there--to fix high FOV distortion when you look at the edges of the screen (if you like dragging sliders back and forth, this can probably be adjusted to better reduce the fish-eye effect while still minimizing the high FOV distortion. It'll depend on your FOV settings and personal preference).
Have fun. :-)

------- SOME NOTES -------
-This is not a real modded feature--only a visual trick. Please look up ReShade if you're not familiar with it.
-This will require FOV modification to avoid an excessively zoomed-in view. I recommend using Flawless Widescreen as it allows you to also adjust Weapon FOV.
-Make sure Flawless Widescreen is set up correctly for Stalker 2 and RUNNING while you try this. In the video demo, my in-game FOV is set to 110 and my FOV and Weapon FOV in Flawless Widescreen are set to +24% and +48% respectively.
-This might cause some stuttering on mouse movements
-This will degrade your resolution/image quality
-If you do use Flawless Widescreen, cranking both FOV and Weapon FOV settings to maximum might make your held weapon's model switch to a lower quality LOD model. If you start seeing polygons, try reducing Weapon FOV by a couple points
- Now uses the Reshade Effect Shader Toggler*** addon instead of a UIMask shader to exclude HUD and UI elements from ReShade effects (Thanks to L00 for providing an ini file to get that working) This addon will cause all HUD/UI elements to be ignored by ReShade...INCLUDING the crosshairs. This makes the crosshairs pretty much useless, so I highly recommend turning them off in Stalker 2's settings. If you absolutely must play with crosshairs on, install the "Free Crosshairs" optional file (it has some drawbacks).
-Those slick HUD textures in the video demo are NOT included. They are part of Petey's Clean UI.
***Use FSR3 Framegen instead of DLSS framegen: DLSS Framegen is buggy with reshade and will either crash the game or flicker the UI.
If you absolutely need to use DLSS framegen, then delete "ReshadeEffectShaderToggler.addon64" that comes with this preset.
Deleting this addon will cause ReShade to affect the HUD and UI of the game.
