About this mod

Are you sick of heading out into the zone and then run out of ammo and have to keep trekking back to restock? Do you like to go on long adventures for hours in the zone, and rarely visit a base? Do you like to buy just a little more ammo than you need? Then this mod might be for you!

Compatible with Stalker v1.2.1 - Latest mod update v1.0.5 - 15/02/2025

My reason for doing this mod? I don't like been forced into playing certain guns because of lack of ammo. I prefer to choose one or two guns I like and stick with them for the whole game. I also hate having to constantly sleep to wait for traders to restock. If your play style is similar, you may like this mod. If you like rocking the vector like me, I have increased the 9x19 and the .45 ammo for those who upgrade the vector to .45 caliber :-).
So far, I have clocked in 100+hrs on Stalker 2. I am by no means anywhere near finished the game, so more tweaks could come when I reach end game. This mod should not affect your save in anyway, its ok to remove it, usually after some time the vendors will rotate out, so far in my testing, it's been instant updates upon loading my save.

This mod is also not final, it's highly likely more tweaking to come in the future, just wanted to get it out there and build on it. Am happy to hear suggestions and may consider them if they align.
T2 and T3 traders will have the most variety of ammo, T4 will introduce expansive ammo. I have also kept it so that not all vendors sell all ammo. It gives you a reason to travel around to top up, which I enjoy doing.

I have adjusted the trader Types T2 through to T4. This does not affect all trader's; so far it affects rookie village, malachite, Yaniv, Cement Factory, Zaton, Red Forest and Pripyat traders. Have also overhauled Birch's inventory and modified Ragman's inventory. More details below.

----------------------------
All Changes

T1 traders - No change

T2 traders - slight boost for most ammo, (I didn't touch 9x18) included 762x39 ammo, 9x39 etc. Typically rounds are around 210 to 300, I have increased them between 300 to 500. Added a few extra ammo types.

T3 traders - slight boost with AP ammo types and added ammo like 308, and 308 flat variants, 9x39 and 762x39 included. I have increased bigger calibers between 200 to 300 for those that love to rock sniper rifles as their main. Slight increase to both grenade launcher ammo types.

T4 traders - slight boost, but with the expansive ammo variants and flat variants. Added RPG ammo. Default rounds with this type are between 60 -120, I have increased them across the range up to 320 rounds. Also added in 762x39 expansive ammo for sale.

Attachment chance/buy tweaks (Scopes, Silencers)
I also did a few tweaks to a couple of scopes by increasing some of their chances to appear for the higher trader types. I tweaked chance of scopes for T3 and T4 traders, ACOG 4x, RU 4x variant, 8x scopes for both variants. For one silencer, an RU variant for T2 trader I increased its chance, it was listed as extremely rare, I increased it to match the chance like the others. Added sniper rifles silencers and assault rifle silencers to traders now.

Armor Trader overhaul (Birch in Rostok)
Have overhauled Birch's armor supply, a lot more inventory compared to the previous one. I have not added all of them, just a few popular ones from the main factions, example Duty, Freedom, Mercenaries, Military and Monolith. There are a total of 19 armor pieces added, enjoy!
If you want some specific ones added, let me know and I can easily add them. Added X7 suit to Birch.

Ragman Trader changes
Gave Ragman some much needed love, updated his ammo inventory. Increased Soviet rounds in line with other traders. Apart from Soviet rounds, also added
.45 and 9x19 ammo in Reg and AP.

Mod Files affected
DynamicItemGenerator.cfg

----------------------------

Compatibility/Conflicts
- My mod works well with STALKER 2 OMEGA - Enhanced Zone Experience
Load mine last with this and a merge tool is a must
- Also, with Maklane's Better Zone - Total Overhaul

Load order doesn't matter, Maklanes does not affect Birch trader or DynamicItemGenerator.cfg. If in the future there is some trader changes,
then merge tool will be required.

I recommend using a merge mod tool like the following as good practice, I do this whenever I add in a new mod, works well if you have multiple mods. The one below is very easy to use, beginner friendly!

Stalker 2 Configuration File Merge Tool

Other
If you spot any ammo I missed, or I have put way too much ammo by accident, post it in the forum. I have double checked my edits and have corrected a couple already. So hopefully I got them all!

I hope you enjoy!
